The best modern version of Lara Croft is the game simply titled Tomb Raider. The one where she crashes on an Island filled with crazy cultists.

This is why I’m not excited about the rumored/supposed unification concept; they’re just gonna use some (i.e. least offensive from their pov) classic elements but put them through the relatable basic filter, and tarnish classic Lara’s legacy even more. What they need to do is SCRAP everything they have—retcon the whole Reboot disaster, and bring back real Lara. Give her the sculpted angular features instead of puffy baby cheeks, beautiful big almond eyes, and Angelina lips. Bring back the voloptuous physique. Bring back the sassy attitude.

Square Inc made her eyes more Asian to appeal to the Chinese market and as a reresult much less like Lara Croft.
