In the Starfield side mission Blast Zone, you are tasked with clearing hard rock on the eastern end of Akila City to make way for affordable housing. To start the quest, find Ngodup Tate just outside the Core Manor that's up for sale. Tell him you're not interested in buying a property, but you are interested in the work he has for someone familiar with mining lasers. Ngodup will give you a Cutter and ask you to clear six hard rocks on the eastern end of the city. Activate your scanner and walk south from Ngodup's location to find the rocks. Equip your Cutter and blast the stones until they're removed. Once the six hard rocks have been destroyed, return to Ngodup Tate to complete the mission.

NOTE: Occasionally, a bug occurs that prevents the rocks from appearing, making them impossible to mine. To fix this, travel to the planet Venus and sleep there for 24 hours. Then return to Akila, and the rocks should now appear.

Starfield is an action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks in 2023. It was announced during Bethesda's E3 presentation in 2018. The game takes place in a space-themed setting, and is the first new intellectual property developed by Bethesda in 29 years.

Starfield is set in an area that extends outward from the Solar System for approximately 50 light-years called the Settled Systems. Around the year 2310, the two largest factions in the game, the United Colonies and Freestar Collective, engaged in a conflict called the Colony War. The game takes place 20 years after the war, with the major factions enjoying an uneasy peace. The player assumes the role of a customizable character who is a member of Constellation, an organization of space explorers.
