Ive me tioned this this movie before and the music my late sister loved this peice of work, she found it on a used vidio tape when watching somthing else it came on the music wasso good she hunted for movie,always loved the music and film everytime i see this on you tube the memortys of my big sis come flooding back love from glasgow scotland and sister Anita xx

A true classic

Recently fell in love with this movie again. I was enthralled with it as a young teen.

I saw this movie in La Grande Oregon at a drive-in. About 1982. It has always been my favorite movie of all time. Its more than a movie, it's part of our heart.. an institute of the beauty of life. Strength, vitality, exquisite resonates of breath....its alive with its existence....too beautiful to describe...its not the past or future but always present..an experience in this movie..TY.

So enjoyed this part of your return to the grand hotel. I truly love this movie but I must say I can't watch it very often. I am so tender hearted and I cry for several days and it really disturbs me for a few days after watching. The sadness is too overwhelming. Thank you again for sharing this.

The begining of this movie was great..It fell.short when the 2 met , the plot was corny and it could have been a better plot IMO

I enjoyed your show very much. Yes it was a very beautiful movie. Your show reminded me of my MY stay with my husband and 3 children at Grand Hotel 23 yrs ago (2000). It was such a memorable time. This certainly brought back memories. Our suite was on the 3rd or 4th floor. I recall how we navigated through the halleways and in the court yard like this couple did.
I have been to Mackinaw Island several times. One time worked with the Island doctor as the medical resident MD taking calls. Medical office was funded by the Grand Hotel. But it doesnt exist anymore. Patients had to go to Traverse City in the mainland after that. Another time as a boyscout asst master with my son and the group (he was a life scout then). Yes I can feel the movie now more so. Even the theme music is one of all time best that was composed by legendary John Barry.

I was just there and forgot about this movie. The island is so beautiful and you never run out of scenery. But this was very good, it has the amateur quality but a professional one would not capture the magic of the movie, or the place. I like the repeated shots because you don't see it is the same place right off. It's sad and haunting, Christopher Reeves is gone and so is that time 40 years ago.

Hi Matt. I'm from the Philippines and I was 20 when I first watched this movie. I'm in my 60's now and I've lost track of how many times I've rewatched it. I have the movie soundtrack on my phone and I never get tired of listening to it. Thank you for this wonderful video dedicated to the movie! I hope before it's my time I can get to visit Mackinac Island with my wife who is my Elise McKenna.
