I like the tall faces on the kranks, would be cool if you have one of the mid handicaps hit it.

Definitely the E1 swing weight. 46" is the culprit there. Cut it down to 45". And the swing weight would fall in line around D4. Then you can compare apples to apples. The head is more than likely not heavier and if so, not by much.

I have swing envy. Your rotation and speed is impressive mate. Krank was clearly not to optimum spec for you...or many humans frankly. Fun video none the less.

What was the dispersion on all the hits? Bryson said for him the Krank was easier to keep in the fairways and it has shown since he has been playing it. Bryson doesn't entirely need the distance, but needs to be safe.

Jumbo Max grip I guess try putting that on there to get the swing weight down

You really need to use the same shaft if you want to do a real comparison.

If you happen to catch a glimpse of the sole of Bryson’s driver you’ll see that he has quite a bit of lead tape near the front which is of course meant to lower spin and launch.
That also being said I did recently hit the latest formula xx driver (200-260 yard version) non conforming club and I was vastly underwhelmed. First the sound is absolutely awful imo. Extremely high pitched and tingy and it just sounds very cheap. That would be fine if it performed as promised. I put it against my stealth 2 plus and it did not once manage to out drive the Taylormade and to make matters worse it’s dispersion was way worse as well. I really hoped this driver was going to live up to its billing and I really gave it my best effort but to no avail. Save your money, don’t believe the hype. I should’ve known this was a scam because the moment you try and post an independent review you cannot find anywhere to do so. Their customer service post sale is non existent but overwhelmingly present when you are browsing. There is no posted guarantee, warranty or return policy on their website. A complete scam.

Bryson has stated a few times that krank drivers are suited to higher ball speeds. This test really is irrelevant.

Would have been nice to see the drivers look at address. It's a shame you couldn't test with the same shaft, and length.

It’s interesting I hit these exact same numbers on a trackman top to bottom but my carry and total are both 20yds shorter just noticed 10ft elevation

Interesting video, the E0 swing weight for sure playing a role in the spin of the Krank driver. That head was probably in the neighborhood of 210g a bit heavy for a 50g shaft to handle most of the fastest long drivers will play a substantially lighter head with a very light shaft 40-50g ladies or reg flex. You for sure function better at a lighter swing weight as well as total weight evidenced by the homa berus that is a 190g head 35 or 40g shaft and if stock a 40 some gram grip. Would be interesting to see how a stealth 2 plus or a paradym with the weight removed in a 40g 50g regular works for you ventus red or a paderson kenetixs is where I would start for max distance.

Is that shaft really a stock offering? No upcharge? I have only seen it with the Kai Li?

The honma beres line is their super premium gold plated not really performance oriented line. This is for the wealthy Asian market they use the star system I think they go up to 3 or 4 stars in the beres. It’s jewelry more than a serious club. Those are mega expensive new! The TW world line is more of their normal driver for the masses. Too bad honma could have been like miura but they have really died off in the North American market.

Bryson lifts a lot of weights, he looks like a weightlifter. I think his strength needs a certain kind of club that may or may not be good for others.

Played a tournament last week and one chap in the group had a Krank driver at 11 degrees (not sure the model). He hit that thing on a rope with a fujikura shaft (again not sure model). It sounds pretty nice to my ears and doesn't look that bad. But I have a feeling if not fitted it would slower than some other retail clubs.

I have this Krank driver head with 9degree on head but the fire pro came from factory at 10degree head 199gram shafted it with a Ventus tr black stiff 59 grams weight I swing around 109-113mph it launches very high . I want to try to trade it in for the 7.5 degree. I don’t know about the return policy with Krank I will find out. I like my 9 degree cobra ltdx Ls that I turn down to 8degree it has more distance and better ball flight. Great content as always .

I don’t know how you’re getting E swingweight when these heads should weigh 264 grams which is only one gram heavier than the stealth 2 plus…

Really good video. Bryson has mentioned it in videos where most of the OEM companies make drivers for ball speeds in the 175-180s. With these kids now hitting 190-200+ ball speeds there needs to be driver faces made with metals that can withstand the hit load. TM has tour non-carbonwood faces, and PING has produced thicker faces just to offset the small percentage of tour players that have those ball speeds.

If a Japanese market driver is gold, it’s most likely nonconforming. I’m actually surprised that the ball speed isn’t a bit higher given that the Beres COR is close to .9 iirc.
