Does anyone else think that the Fazioli sound is a bit dull for Chopin? I don't hear it "sing" in the top ranges. I'm not an expert so please don't bombard me with technical details and try to convince me I'm wrong!!!

Anastasia, in spite of the fear that makes you want to run away at any moment, you have finished what you had to do.
You have shown people the importance of not giving up once you are on stage. I know you are sad now, but I believe that the time will come when you will be able to stand up for yourself.

Zenin is my favorite so far

I remember ms. Z Z Zao’s hair band on her wrist getting on my nerves at the preliminary. This time she has 2! 😂

This is a tough competition by any measure. All are to be commended for even getting there. Some superb touches all round. I hope we hear a lot more from Anastasia. I can imagine that she will be a revelation playing the big romantic concertos, also Schumann Brahms etc and the Russian romantics.

Chopin couldn’t have those highly influential compositions without dark days. Thank you Anastasia for being so courage. You are such an amazing pianist. I hope in 10 years I will be able to walk onto that stage remembering not give up.

Yilan Zhao played the left hand octaves in Nocturne Op 27. No. 1 using both hands…this is ridiculous

I loved Anastasia’s nocturne. I think the etude glitches were due to hyperventilation, not memory. That so easily happens when you’re nervous. I’ve had my fingers go numb during stressful concerts. Purely speculation….that’s rough to go through, but I hope she is strong and moves forward immediately. Competition life is awful.

Same feeling so when I was studying in music college I shifted to Music education as my Major coz I didn't feel good when playing on concert stage😓😉

I really like Zenin’s choice of Kawai.

Its such a shame that Anastasia messed up. Her etude in F major was perhaps the best I've heard in this competition.

Armellini very nice legato in the nocturne. Entire piece played as it should be, great interp. I think she will be finalist.

Sooner or later all musical artists experience a slight glitch in a performance but what is important is how they recover. To her credit, Anastasia Yasko recovered beautifully and never lost her sense of poise or direction. She has proven that she is a genuine accomplished artist worthy of progressing to the next level.

Armellini did something fascinating in the Scherzo, she's fabulous 🌹🏵️🌺🌻🌷🌼🌹🌺🌻🌸

I had similar piano exam , I feel deeply for Anastasia.
Making a fool of myself in front of prof Jasiński, prof Stompel, prof Świtała . Never fully recovered. No matter how good I was prepared later, always thought Im gonna fail.

Congrats to Armellini for choosing Scherzo 4. Extremely difficult piece to pull off and stay in control, especially in stage 1.

I feel extremely sorry for Anastasia Yasko. I have had three mental breakdowns during concerts in my life. I can tell that such experiences leave lasting emotional scars. Each time when I perform I have flashbacks of these failed concerts. She is a great musician. Everybody could hear that despite the lost of control. I personally know for myself I will never be a concert pianist of an international reputation and that is ok. It doesn't make me a lesser artist or person. May all peoplle suffering from stage fright feel relief!
