Wait for the glue to dry?! As kids, we just slapped the patch on and set it on fire. I then wondered why patch kits don't come with matches XD
ОтветитьAn excellent video, I learned a lot
ОтветитьI would advise always having a spare inner tube because i had to get my bike home in a taxi 😂
ОтветитьBurn on patches work the best.
ОтветитьA tube of slime is also good to use when you first get the bike and go anywhere.
ОтветитьThank you. So nicely explained. Subscribed.
ОтветитьI can't find the hole in the tire only the tube can I still only patch the bike tube
ОтветитьDidn't know fixing puncture is a 2-hour job. No wonder the repair shop does not fix it for 10 Euro.
ОтветитьThats pretty neat
ОтветитьThank you, your tutorial is very helpful 👍
ОтветитьDoes anybody else hear Super Dave?
Ответитьthe spike was too funny ,,Calvin ya made my day
Ответитьamazing
Ответитьit sounds silly that at age 66 i needed to watch this... but i just patched a few butyl tubes tonight with small holes, and wondered about that clear plastic on tip. been using your vulcanizing kit, but frankly the one with no glue looks a LOT better, especially on the road. can anyone comment on effectiveness with laytex tubes? thanks. p.s. i just subscribed. i do have several various park tools.
ОтветитьWhat should I do if the Patches - Solution + Patch ( From Bikerama kit) isn't sticking at all...?! Nice video & Thanks :)
ОтветитьRemoving rear wheel is a pain in the ass for me,so I learned how to patch the tube without removing the wheel.
ОтветитьI noticed that I had a puncture in the front tyre of my Moulton on the way back from the supermarket. Prepared as always I whipped out my brand new, unused Park Tool puncture repair kit and prepared the inner tube for a patch. Opening the tube of rubber adhesive compound I found the tube to be sealed, but completely empty, In the manufacturing process something had obviously gone wrong. Fortunately on this occasion I had a spare inner tube, which saved the day. I decided to go further up the food chain of puncture repair kits and bought the highly recommended Rema TT02 kit. This is my second one and Rema are at the top of their game as they fill their adhesive compound tubes with more than air! You actually get the adhesive!
ОтветитьWhen I left the clear plastic backing on the vulcanizing patch, the next time I had the tire off, there were dried up flaky bits of dried, disintegrated cellophane all throughout the tire. Not the end of the world, just annoying.
ОтветитьIt fixed👍, Thank you
ОтветитьNever knew Nicolas Cage was a bike mechanic
ОтветитьCool mustache
ОтветитьYou @$$holes dont say to leave the plastic cover on the patch in your instructions in the kit. Every time i remove it and every time it peels your vulcanized patches off.
ОтветитьPerfect video thank you so much
ОтветитьSending this to my brother the flat king
ОтветитьThank you ‼️
ОтветитьGreat video... all around. They say nobody is perfect buuut. Guess the only thing I MIGHT add is to wet your finger before spreading glue so it doesn't stick to your finger. I bet you would tell me that's a bad idea. And you'd probably spend a minute explaining why.
ОтветитьWhat's everyone's thoughts on self adhesive patches vs traditional glue patches. Is one longer lasting than the other?
ОтветитьAgain, top video!
ОтветитьGreat video, thanks.
ОтветитьUsed to have an old Peugeot, got a flat almost everyday 😢 got to where I would patch a patch😂 always keep a spare tibe; even if it has been patched.
ОтветитьThanks! Up/down! Right in the middle at least here! Thanks for video as a referance! Nothing worse than a kit having no instructioms and needing a quick back up to get striaght to the job! Awesome!
ОтветитьThanks for this great video. I have successfully patched many tubes and was able to reuse them. Question....I am running out of the rubber cement. Can I purchase any rubber cement or does it need to be special vulcanized glue? I have a Maifede patch kit. TIA John
ОтветитьBeautiful
Thank you
Best guy for bikes better thank going to bike repair guys
ОтветитьHow long to wait until I install the tube after I patch it
ОтветитьThanks. when i parked my mtb at the school parking lot and I came back to see a fucking nail in the tire
ОтветитьThis is why I always play Luigi in Mario games
ОтветитьWoww keep it up
ОтветитьThis is the best teaching ever
ОтветитьTy I fixed my flat tire
ОтветитьNever was able to fix a flat with a pre glued patch. I always used the old fashioned ones .The rest is easy. I,m Dutch so I fixed a lot.
ОтветитьI had to learn this when I was ten. You learn to repair stuff when your poor.
ОтветитьDamn, i always removed the clear film
ОтветитьShould you not inflate the tube first, before applying the patch? It seem like it be a better patch doing so, no?
ОтветитьNo need to press the valve on a Presta valve to roll it up, just unscrew it to the point where it will not hold air. So much misinfo in this video!
ОтветитьTy sir...bike patched up an ready to burn rubber 😉👍 an subscribed
ОтветитьTHANKS, great video and well done
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьI wonder if that will work on the hole I have in my condom ?
