Skytech's Chronos 0136 pre-built gaming PC is in our lab for benchmark and review. We're still looking for the best prebuilt gaming PCs, and this one is in the running as a better one.

The Skytech Chronos 0136 is actually good -- or mostly good -- and stands apart as one of the best two pre-built gaming PCs from 2021 that we've reviewed so far. We've only managed to find two pre-built gaming PCs that are worth it: One was the ABS Challenger ALI521, and the other is this Skytech system. "Worth," of course, is somewhat relative -- value is still a little rough in this market, but it is built mostly competently and does reasonably well in benchmarking. There are some faults, like a broken component, but it's better off than the iBUYPOWER, CyberPower, Dell, and Alienware systems we've reviewed. This lands in our round-up of the best $2000 (or so) gaming PCs.

This was my first true gaming PC.
Until recently the 3070 I got from it was the last part that was part of the original build.
I've since Ship of Theseus'd it into my own PC part by part.

Build Pro PC is my go-to for prebuilt systems, and I'm thrilled with my purchase. The PC is a visual marvel, and its performance, relative to its cost, is nothing short of mind-blowing. Their team's friendliness and assistance make them a strong recommendation.

Love these videos. Fast forward to aug 2023. I bought a $700 skytech pc off ebay new in box from a private seller for $300 and free shipping. Seller had 30 days return with buyer paying return shipping. The nvidia video card turns out to be trashed. Pixelated like crazy and finally gave out totally. I replaced the nvidia card with an amd video card off ebay for $79, and wipped the hard drive clean and reinstalled windows and amd video drivers and pc is now running fine. Return shipping was $80, so i fixed it myself for cheaper. My model was the 2022 model "archangel".

i can't believe you guys spent $1400 on that thing. I recently purchased an HP all in one for my mother-in-law to upgrade her decade old computer to something that's more modern. It was the same thing. Loaded with bloatware. luckily I am the IT support in our family and was able to set it up for her upon delivery. But it did take me all night to unload all the bloatware that they piled onto that thing. Upon initial reboot, it was so slow that you would hardly believe that it was a brand new PC. I worry for the general population that have to go through all of that on their own and end up with a snail paced new computer. At least now i know that next time when the time comes, i'll look into either a ABS or Skytech thanks to you guys' work.

I just did a system reload from W11 down to W10 on one of these. beautiful system, but I think its was too much cost wise. Very nice system, But I perfere AMD over Intel for the reason of drivers. I had to manually download the drivers for this system as windows would no find the drivers. and of course I had to add the Nvidia drivers for the GTX 3080 card.... once I got it back up and running, it turned out really nice.

DON'T get Skytech. I know they say that this isn't the worst but they have now shipped me two computers that do not work - 60-80 people waiting for tech/customer service line. (first one's motherboard wouldn't recognize both ram sticks , second one doesn't turn on) I got this computer because of this video. But they suck. They are 0-2

I just got my custom built Skytech Mark 9. Came with i9-12900, RTX-3080, MSI Carbon MB, etc... It was packed very well. What surprised me was that not only did they already set up the LEDs to all sync and work together, they actually turned on XMP. I ran Cinebench R23 and got 26668, and according to CPUID Hardware, the temps only got to 88F. all in all, I am very happy with the work Skytech did 😁

I went the skytechgaming and built a computer, which came out to $2,900. The I went to Newegg and priced out each component in my build, and the price came to about $600 less. That was w/o little things like thermal paste and case fans, etc... So they are not too bad on prices, considering not a lot of people are competent enough, or have the time, to build their own system

Hold on, now yeah I admit getting an inset level glass out would be annoying, but you guys are smart, I'm just a blue collar line worker, you know how we get stacks of metal apart? We buy the cheapest suction cup that will work. You know how you install and take glass out of something by hand? With a suction cup. Your review should sound more like this, yes the glass panel can be a bit of a pain, here is the easiest way to get it out buy a small decent suction cup and life is good again, be fair or don't judge, yes I know you give this computer a pass but your showing the level of your research, if this simple fairly well known answer is not represented by you and all people who are not thinking when they see it out of context will take it wrong and use it as a reason not to buy the thing, how many times does a normal person get in their case? Only when absolutely necessary, that's how much, you act like we get in there every freaking day.
I'm sorry but you kinda let me down on this one

Bought a custom in 2018 and still using it today with some minor upgrades as time went one and things got cheaper because they give you the freedom to so unlike dell. At the time scalpers were hot and getting a prebuilt was cheaper and my build cost a total of $870 and when I added up individual parts it was $1015 give or take a few bucks and while that might not seem like a lot it was for a kid working at Mc Donald’s.
