Niche usage but just ordered one as it have optical out so I can link it to my Sonos Ray. Bedroom TV doesn’t have optical out as it’s a smart monitor and have a 5.0 Sonos bedroom setup.

Exactly ,i have a smart tv but needs a tv box that reads 4k content using USB. Did you connect some 4k movie to see if run smooth without freezing?
I have a lot of cds that i backup to external HDD to format MP4 and MKV .

Lol , people buy a min 4gig of ram , and higher memory. This box for today standards is junk

Box has been out now for about 4-5+ years (Hasn't had a update in a while). Still holds up for regular streaming. As for price. Here in the U.S. it has doubled in price last couple of years ($70+) Where you can still get Tivo 4k Stream and Chromecast with Google tv from 29.99 - 49.99 depending on the sale (with newer versions of android). One thing about Android tv over Smart TVs and Roku, is you can sideload tons of apps.
