This has realy helped my Kiriko, she's one of my favorite characters to play now and i swear every game i either get comments like 'kiriko carrying' or angry comments about not healing enough, but either way i get as much damage as the dps and as much healing as the other support and it carries the game. You just cant carry on something like mercy or lifeweaver because even if you pump out insane healing if your teammates are bad you'll still lose regardless, but with this you can be a lot more flexible and help wherever your team is weaker. My aim is terrible compared to this but it still works and I'm sure my aim will get better over time

This method works amazing on any support that has a way to escape; you just have to do it differently. I was a bronze support in the last season that I played. Awkward got me back to the game and now I am plat. People don’t expect you to just kill them - rather than try and run away - when you engage them.

how about you keep it a bit down against those bronze/silvers/golds and just do enough to win? tell us some "spots" on the map or other tips then, because it feels really bad to have smurfs. especialy when you start grinding in a low rank.

The 2nd game is the first time ever I have seen Awkward legitimately get frustrated at someone because honest to god that tank was bottom Plastic 5 tier noob.

The amount of times I see some bronze idiots complaining that I'm not "healing as much" on Kiriko is mind boggling. They really don't understand the strengths of that hero whatsoever. I've made so many game changing plays with her it's absolutely insane, but try explaining that to a single digit IQ pug player -_-

I haven't gotten a Kiriko POTG in literally months, but the very first game after I implemented this strategy, I got POTG and we destroyed the enemy team.
...I'll be damned. This shit actually works.

Didnt see here work of distraction. This was more like flanking Genji, making his kills and run away.
Would it be that efficient if he didnt make any kills actually? Would it be that good if their support healed that guys he attacked?

And no this definitely wont be working for bronze or kinda cause yknow? U can ignore such Kiri if shes missing her shots.
This guy simply had 50ish% accuracy in every game and 20-25% crit accuracy.
Being that good at aiming u cant say this is Your plan made you win.

This is very similar to playing Tracer, and where they both have high damage output and a get-out-of-jail free card, it makes sense.

What DPI do you play on?

So just have better mechanics than the whole enemy team and a team that can not feed while their healer is playing like a flank dps. Easy

oh but when I do it, all enemies seem to not miss a SHOT,
or you know..... hit me headshots from across the map consistently.......
and im not just strafing and being predictable.....i dunno what is happening.
i play in GOLD btw (used to be diamond in OW1)

I find your method very effective. but I had to turn off all chats. there was a lot of arguing there. it is sad. This has a strong and depressing effect on me. people simply cannot retreat behind cover and die under the bastion

Thank you for this. I'm diamond 1 and still get teammates yelling at me to play kiri as a healbot. I initially started playing this way and did very well but was being told I'm playing her wrong, teammates yelling, throwing and typing because my heals aren't over 10k. I'm going to just shut chat off and go back to my aggressive playstyle.

I predicted this playstyle when Kiri was released and everyone called me nuts. "No, just healbot and save suzu for your tank, it's the only way!!" they said.

first half of game i realized i should probably actually try this out, second half i completely dominated. shaky as heck due to being scared bc i was in their backline literally harrassing everyone but the tank, but it payed off. most dmg in the whole lobby, but it was just qp bc i dont wanna throw in comp by practicing this... 😭

Funny how it's usually the dps that's getting outdamaged by their supports that complains about healing being the problem.

I swear man, its the shittiest of teammates that feel that you are not healing enough as support😂😂 DPS had less kills than support ,died more, apparently does not know enough positioning and no map knowledge for health packs, sabotages team and goes report kiriko for not healing LMFAO😂
