I don't recommend getting a rental car in Vegas. 1) Not only are you paying quite a bit for a daily rental, you are paying parking fees at every hotel - the one you're staying at and the ones you visit - every day of your vacation. 2) There's a lot of traffic on the strip, especially at night. Who needs the aggravation of sitting in traffic? Besides, it's much more fun riding in someone else's vehicle and being able to look around and view the beauty of Las Vegas! 3) The parking lots are WAY away from the main attractions. There's enough walking to do in Vegas. Don't add to it by having to walk to and from the lot over and over. 4) If you plan on being on the Strip only, there are better transportation options (cab, Uber, the Deuce bus, the monorails and trams).

5) Time is valuable when going to Vegas. I think too much time is wasted shuttling back and forth from the airport to the rental car site to get and return your car. Plus, you would think the car is a big time saver. It's not. Transportation is readily available - right outside the front door. Also, if you add up the cost of using them, you will spend less than if you rent a car. 6) The only reason that makes sense to rent a car is if you're either making multiple trips to downtown or you want to visit things like the Grand Canyon, the Red Rock casino, legalized brothels (yes many guys go to them) or other places further away from the Strip.

One last tip: if you MUST rent a car, there are car rental locations ON the strip itself - like at Treasure Island. Easy pickup and return. If I'm staying a week in Vegas, I might get a rental car for a day or two to get to places further away. You don't really need one the whole week. There are so many things to do, you won't want to waste a lot of energy on the hassles of car rental.

Just had the Bachanal Buffet the other day! So great and we lucked out that they didn't enforce the 1.5 hour limit with us. We were there closer to 2.5 hours. And that roast pork in the Chinese section is Filipino style lechon! I was happy they had a little Filipino section there but there was a ton of great food!

For me , vegas is in the past. All the perks like cheap food , good drink svs, resonable table minimums , etc. All gone . Its just disneyland and just as overpriced.

I'm form Jakarta - Indonesia, please advice, as we know, hotel in US , Double Bed room can fit for max until 4 person, right? i'm family with 2 kids, why when we book hotel in Las Vegas, for the same room, the price will double if we fill 2 adult + 2 kids, compare with 2 adults only? Its is oke if we book 2 double bed, and put only 2 adult as visitor, but the real person who stay are 4 persons. Thank you Chris

If you are a low roller like me 😂 - There is an airport bus called the Centennial Express” that costs a few bucks and drops off at the south end of the strip.

It is better to stay off the strip. The downtown hotels have lower minimums if you play table games. Everything on Las Vegas Blvd is very pricey. Off of "the strip" it's better. Food at off strip hotels is just as good, just not as pricey. When I lived in Las Vegas loved to eat at Sam's Town., You do put a lot of good information on this video. Learned how to play most casino games at the Holiday Inn. It can get chilly in Las Vegas during winter months. Guess you never ate at Sam's Town. Ellis Island has good food too. Maxims had good food and a smaller casino. Don't eat pork products. I waited over an hour several times at the Mirage Hotel.

I am planning for a historic route 66 road trip starting in LA in mid-July this summer and will be making a detour to Las Vegas so i will be coming in with a rental car. What road would you recommend to drive to Las Vegas from LA. Maybe one that is more scenic route than taking I-15. I will be in Las Vegas for a weekend and then continue onwards back to follow historic route 66. I have only been on one visit in the US and that was only Seattle. I have been planning this trip for a few years but then the pandemic hit when i was originally gonna come
