fire mage spec is so good in WSG ! but i had to try the Xaryu's frost mage spec, i was geting ganked to many times in hillsbrad by rogues and i had nothing to counter it. And It felt really hard to play. If by mistake you put 1 wrong GCD or 2, rogues or palas sprint to your face and kill you... you really have to know how to quite perfectly and use slow or burst at the good time.
So now i'm back to fire mage spec with 15% crit rune and and Icy vein, + 70 damage to spells. Just hoping to outdamage whoever runs to my face with big crits

Mage and rogue main here, first i thought i go for mage then i decide to go full mainstream warlock, now i see you here with your bis fire spec level 25 mage doing the same damage than me in my level 8 grey geared warlock xD

What i think ,is blizzard is trying endlessly same recipe over and over again at pretending different results happen...every patch they implement is always a "to much or to less" for a 20vyears old game it became unacceptable anymore to fall for same trick again over and over...creating classes is ot of discussion but creating functional specs for a 20 years old game they had plenty of time to do it but they dista so why ? Now with this kind of fixes with buff and nerfs here and there is same trick again..when the entire spec easy can been tested with Ai simulation and fix the game right away..instead making "god class every patch ( miniexpansions) and pretending they slowly getting there...

If you're hoping to be a big dick dps this phase, mage isn't for you. Gotta embrace the support role to have fun. Big CC, CS, R1 frostbolts for slow/frostbite, impacts, off-heals.

Mage is actually one of the few classes that can take my hunter down in duels. They sheep my pet, freeze me in deadzone and I don’t have a trinket yet so it’s gg. I do understand how it’s frustrating to not be really powerful in bgs though. You guys will get more powerful as the phases progress!

I'm enjoying being a laser spewing cat that lifeblooms and regens every once in awhile and can flag carry with ease! Feels bad for rogues and warriors right now.

ayy you went fire - your build is a bit different to mine. i go 5 fireball, 5 ignite, 2 range 4 impact. very interesting you play scorch only but i mostly wpvp rather than doing bgs. 40 will be frost with the shield but who knows what new runes we'll get. maybe slow for arcane? i always loved playing slow mage in tbc

Nope, i have been playing arcane with improved silenced. Silence—> 2 arcane blasts + uninterruptible missiles and fire blast = dead. Blasts crits are over 300 at the very least, at 40 we go down the tree to PoM and then the massacre begins. Right now, locks and palys are broken :/

I prefer going with frost spec, but using the same runes and playstyle as you, Ziqo. That way I can use permafrosted r1 frostbolts against rogues/warrs, which can frostbite. And this also keeps enemies inside your Living Flame a LOT more, getting a majority of the damage ticks from it. The additional damage of fire spec doesn't feel worth giving up that 100% Living Flame efficiency, since that seems to be our best offensive (and defensive if you use regen) spell right now.

lol, see what i mean about rogue. I tried to talk to pshero about my build and he ran me down insta so unsubbed and told him to stick it. Why watch someone with no skill playing the easiest class in the game. Of course healer mage is the best that is blizzard force their stupid ideas on us

Reroll rogue and play the easiest no skill class in the game. I am not even joking i have been playing warsong at lvl 22-23 and been top damage every match. you don't need skills to play rogue, never have

Hard to watch mages in the 25 bracket man. just brutal underpowered in most respects. It could have been a whole other ball game if it was 29 or 30.

definitely 40 though, for both frost and our lovely warriors. All the tools in hand by then!
