ОтветитьYup
ОтветитьI thought theatrics were what wrestling was about.
Ответитьwow, he did an episode of "robocop" the series.
Ответитьwhen I was a kid Piper was my favorite. everyone at school loved Hulk Hogan or Ric Flair or the Ultimate Warrior or Macho man. for whatever reason I always rooted for Roddy Piper
ОтветитьRIP Hot Rod!
ОтветитьRoddy piper has a point when the cinematic over takes the in ring action pro wrestling stinks
ОтветитьLOVE ROWDY
ОтветитьPro wrestlers are idiot 🤣 fake fighting
ОтветитьGod bless your soul Roddy Piper. You are deeply missed.
ОтветитьWhat's funny is, most people think wrestling is fake, but they still hated Roddy for all his antics.
ОтветитьIt's hard to believe he's gone. That was my childhood, except I was with the more patriotic Hluk hulgan.
ОтветитьVince is n ass.He is destroying what he built
ОтветитьWish he lived long enough to see AEW
ОтветитьPiper had great actor and rock singer face , he could have been more awesome in his career :(
ОтветитьIf he was Persona Non Grata with the WWF, why was he allowed to come back and do colour commentary?
ОтветитьR.I.P. Maniac
ОтветитьThe Maniac!
ОтветитьThis is Ronda Rousey’s first son
ОтветитьIf Roddy was alive now... The absolute state of WWE these days.. It's more theatrics than wrestling.
ОтветитьRest In Piece
ОтветитьThe mcmahons started wrestling? The fuck are you talking about?
ОтветитьHot rod was a good looking dude
ОтветитьRIP Roddy. You were my favorite as a kid. I hated Hulk Hogan…. Still do.
ОтветитьOdd how this applies to today's wrestling times 10. Roddy was ahead of his time with these comments. Rest easy to a legend
ОтветитьMan that sucks he was a legend when I was coming up
ОтветитьThat was a great horror movie for sure
ОтветитьDid they bury Roddy in Adrian's leather?
I'm seriously asking.
Rest in peace Roderick Toombs. Always and forever our rowdiest of pipers
ОтветитьDA MANIAC
ОтветитьFun fact, when Roddy did They Live, he was in such good shape, Carpenter said he was accused of photoshopping Piper's head on someone else's body in some scenes.
ОтветитьThey all come back at some point. Everyone has a price.
ОтветитьTheatrics did ruin wrestling. I was never a fan, but as a kid it was fun to watch time and again.
ОтветитьVince was so bitter when Hogan, Jesse and Piper jump off to Hollywood.
ОтветитьLet's not forget Hot Rod was the inspiration for Duke Nukem's best lines😉
ОтветитьHe says it's theatrics but we all know it's because of Vince
ОтветитьLove 'Rowdy'!! "They Live" was an excellent sci-fi!! You don't pass up John Carpenter!
ОтветитьITS SAD BUT HES DEAD AND WWE IS STILL THERE
ОтветитьRowdy rodney was awesome.. fuck mcmahon
ОтветитьRoddy put on his sunglasses one day, and realized that the current product was trash
ОтветитьRIP PIPER ❤️
ОтветитьI can't disagree. He's always been a straight shooter.
Ответитьhot rod is so right its rubbish these days i remember watching in 1975 with jack little commetating in au boy they were rough in those days
ОтветитьI love Roddy!!!!
ОтветитьStern can be a douche at times but one thing you can’t deny is that he does his homework. Most radio hosts wouldn’t even do a Wikipedia search of their guest, let alone read their book.
ОтветитьI have said this for years, which is, professional wrestling is just a stepping stone onto acting in movies and TV, which for any producer/director, is a bonus. If they can find someone who can speak really well, can present their 'character' well enough to bring in crowds (a character that fans get behind immediately), and that they wouldn't have to hire a stunt double, because that wrestler can do everything, that would be great, because it's just one less person they have to pay. Look at all the 'successful' pro wrestlers who went on to become actors, which I realize John Cena, Dwayne Johnson and Dave Batista might work with stunt doubles too....still....having a wrestler who can act and do his/her own stunts, is a director's dream come true.
ОтветитьThe thing is, too many people tend to take "professional wrestling" as a legitimate sport and that it's real, which has led people to get violent (throwing glass bottles at live events), to threatening wrestlers online (not just cyberbullying threats). 'Theatrics' in what is "sports entertainment", like having a man appear and disappear in the middle of the ring and survive being buried alive 3 times, should tell you that the 'Undertaker' isn't actually real. We 'know' it's scripted, that the winner is predetermined, but we enjoy the effort put out there to entertain us, especially if you are at a live event. The problem is, there are far too many people 'today' that think that it's real, and think that a character like 'John Cena' is the same person in the ring as he is out in the real world. Theatrics help separate the 'story' from the real world.
ОтветитьI've been saying the same thing for years! Rowdy just did way before me lol
