I was surprised to learn that some of the fandom(book readers) were against his casting as Nikolai/Sturmhond in the first place. Jumping blindly into the series as a normie, i find his performance as one of the perks of season 2 alongside the Crows. He has better chemistry with Alina than Mal ever had.

If this was a different story, they totally would be endgame. That’s what’s fun about sob it’s like a “choose-alina’s-love interest story” from like Episode haha

I haven't even finished the first book yet but I just love Nikolina on the series. I mean, Nikolai is so cute and Mal is so... boring. That would be a great thing if they change the end and put Alina with Nikolai (I know she ends w Mal) and stop with this childhood lovers trope. Ppl grown and even if you still like your best friend as a person, it would be nice to break the expected and put the protagonist with someone who isn't her/him bestfriend. Anyways, I know that if they change it in the series ppl would get annoyed bc prefer zoyalai. Just my opinion.

I have just finished season 2 today....and maaaan i wish they had given the storyline of Alina, Mal and Nikolai much more fokus. I loved the books because of the whole romance-low-burner-triangle-tension and the series doesn't do it justice. But love the casting!

Writers sucks they destroyed all the beautiful scenes of D & A for children's relationship (Mal) in S2 ! The prince is cute but for some shy blonde not arrogant and selfish Alina !

They would have had the guts to let Mal stay dead. I did not read the books, so I don´t know what happend there, but ... no show has the guts to let a important character stay dead.
Mal´s death would have made perfect sense and would let us believe that everyone could die (like in GoT)
But know I just know that every big character is going to stay alive.

How is that she has more chemistry with him in a couple of scenes than with Mal in 2 whole seasons? At this point is pretty clear that just like in the books in the show Malina don't work as a couple🤷🏻‍♀️

This was a story of pure love blossomed amidst war and tragedies, duties and responsibilities.

He leads his people with the same principle you uphold dealing with your own subordinates: with kindness in your hearts, respect in every individual, and protects the people you love and believe in with the same fierceness that you have – putting their needs above yours; will he not earn your respect?

He holds your hand, gives you assurance in words and actions that you can always count on him because he will never leave your side (always got your back), envelopes you in a warm embrace, touches your shoulder to hold you back from committing acts you were bound to regret, gazes at you with love and longing in his eyes, How can you not fall in love with him? (You are blind, Alina).

These two are equals in their own right, they are co-leaders and they make sure to remind the other of that whenever there’s a need to. They can confide with one another all their hurt and struggles because they share the same feelings and views that not everyone could or would understand (Saving Ravka).

I really hope they change the story, because this is the pair you don’t ever want to let go of. It’s the kind of love that even real people want and need in their lives.
