How to bypass and remove MacBook login password - Works on all Macs (READ DESCRIPTION)

So quick question my wife’s old iMac from her dad who is now passed away is locked because she does not remember the password and her ex-boyfriend broke the screen, so how do I go about doing this with a cracked screen? I even tried screen mirroring with an external computer screen, but the terminal doesn’t screen mirror onto it I wanted to bring back old memories for her thank you in advanced.

For me didnt work ,just say me admin and macadmin and when i try to see the paswords the console shows a mesagge like (passwd) illegal attempt -d

What about if my Mac doesn’t not show any admins? Just password and asking me the name of the password

I used the same procedure but I kept seeing the apply logo and it kept going back to the login screen
