I use metric so finding the centre is pretty basic. Measure and divide by 2. I'm not sure what's hard about that. Lol
180mm ÷ 2 = 90mm centre.
158mm ÷ 2 = 79mm. 🤷♂️
the centre of one's board, can just measure the shortest distance bewtween the edges, and take half of that?, why diagonal? And isn't that just ''a'' centre dot on the middle line of the width... and not ''the centre of the board''? For centre of board I'd draw the intersecting lines in the middle using such straight measure on the board from corner to corner.
ОтветитьGreat video Moth.
My experience is that the best way getting the dust off (and out too! the nerve puts and holes), is... a vacuum with a brush attachement. I've been a cleaner so that's how one knows the difference. Why wipe it around, or blow it in the air while one can use a vacuum wtih brush attachement to get it all out and colelcted instead of elsewhere.
I wish you were still doing videos 😊
ОтветитьLove your videos. They’re fun and you crack me up. Thanks. Steve
ОтветитьMan i laughed so hard at glue tip 2 😂😂😂
ОтветитьBourbon moth was you and your family at holiday world on Aug 12 2023 I thought I saw you
ОтветитьThe glue blow in method made me laugh so hard! Love it!🤣
ОтветитьThe reverse drilling to start out holes blew my mind 😮 sooo helpful
ОтветитьMethod 2 on gluing a crack would my least favorite too.😂
Ответитьat 1.5x speed his videos acutally look normal
ОтветитьAfter spending the day de nailing pallets i like your methad better
ОтветитьI was laughing so hard with that glue trick🤣🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьI think the Elmer's wood glue taste best! 😆 when I started doing construction with my Dad- back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, we didn't have shop vacs. My Dad would run the glue just as u did, then use a small bit of string to pull the glue thru. He always amazed me with the things he knew. Watching u brings back some great memories of him!
Please please please please please- wear eye protection when grinding metal. Dad lost sight in one eye because he didn't- so i ALWAYS had to wear safety glasses. Thanks again for sharing ur talent!
Jason does his own stunts.
ОтветитьMany tape measurements has a clear window on top with a red line showing the opposite side of your tape measurement. This scale is offset with the exact distance as the length of your enclosure. So bring your tape against vertical side and read your measure off from the top of your tape holder. Smart inventions.
ОтветитьMy husband is a carpenter, he built a shed for our backyard, and I asked him to put a triangular gable vent and he accomplished it perfectly. He is watching your tutorials for advice on building a bathroom vanity.. He is remodeling our bathroom soon. He enjoys watching your tutorials to get some knowledge from your expertise. Keep up with your sense of humor! Jon Scarth, Coeur D Alene, Idaho
ОтветитьThat second method had me rolling on the floor. That’s why we love your channel bud. You put humor into it. In fact I realized I wasn’t subscribed. Could of sworn I was but I changed that real quick especially after seeing how far you’ll go to entertain us. Thank you for the laugh.
ОтветитьI regret that I have but one like to give this video. The mix of gags with actually useful information … perfection.
ОтветитьCould you be any more entertaining? Plus very informative!
ОтветитьThat's my favorite trick for getting nails out of pallets as well.
ОтветитьJason, please include playlist
ОтветитьFor squeeze out try using a magic eraser
ОтветитьDude I thoroughly enjoy your videos the nail removal and glue blow in was hilarious, as silly as your videos are you out did yourself😂
ОтветитьNo way this guy just filled his mouth with wood glue… he definitely ate Elmer’s glue in school. 🤦♂️😂😂
ОтветитьI seen a tips video where a guy used an old gym shoe sole to clean his sanding disk instead of that eraser thingy… don’t know if it actually works but it looked like it did. 🤷♂️
ОтветитьWhoa whoa whoa… “old person”?!? Wooowwww man… that’s toxic bro. 🤨👨🏼🦳👨🏼🦳👨🏼🦳😂
ОтветитьCleaning glue on a join.. I wait till the glue has gone a bit leathery/cheesy (depends whether yer hungry or plain HARD - GRRRR!) after about 5-10 minutes and then I take a small sharp pointy blade (I use one with an angled end, i.e. 45 degrees and gently pick away the excess. The 45 degree bit is handy, cos I can use that side for small lines or use the longer part of the blade - about 2 inches - for .. em.. longer lines. I can slide the blade under the squeezed glue to remove lines of it too. By this time, the glued join will have taken hold, so using the blade in this way won't move the wood, but also, the squeezed glue is easier to remove without potentially gouging the wood, as could happen with a chisel after the glue has hardened - the glue is probably harder than the wood. Besides, the chisel blade doesn't like hard glue. Then, the mess is gone before the glue has dried. I use this on the inside of a musical instrument body, where chisel access can be (and most often IS !) impossible.
ОтветитьMaybe show folks the proper way to use a speed square for crosscuting lumber.
ОтветитьSpitters are quitters.....otherwise, well done sir👍always informative and entertaining.
ОтветитьDo they make peanut butter flavored glue?...
ОтветитьBest pallet wood video ever!!!
ОтветитьGood tip for measuring an inside dimension such as inside cabinet base (only an example). Take 2 small wood strips and a couple clamps that will overlap inside, move them out to inside dimension, clamp there, pull strips and measure. This will give an exact measurement.
ОтветитьDude was that really glue LMFAO HAHA
ОтветитьHi i'm French and i like your videos, i have de message for you : don't put the glue in your mouth! NEVER NEVER. (it was not really glue?)
you're really a crazy woodworker. With you're videos, i learn a lot about woodwork and since you speak slowly with a good prononciation i learn English too. Many Many thank's! 😉
My Favourite Woodworking Guy!
ОтветитьLol. That mouth and glue trick is in the top three laughing until my abs hurt from videos on you tube.
ОтветитьTaking nails out of the pallet proved to be the easiest way. 😂😂😂
ОтветитьAwesome videos man. Great tips too. Thanks for posting.
ОтветитьDid the guy just blow a crack wood and got creamy with it🫠
ОтветитьI'm sure you lose something in the glue, but what I do for cracks is put the glue bottle in super hot water, which make the glue super runny. It makes it way easier to fill cracks.
ОтветитьThey make a Clip for your tape measure called matey measure that you can get the exact measurement when bending your tape measure and you can get it on Amazon I got one and it works great.
ОтветитьTip for power sanding mainly about your pattern move from side to side edge to edge without stoping overlapping each pass by half a sander width and on all final passes no matter what grit move slowly and don't stop mid work piece if at all possible
ОтветитьI'm old. On Facebook and ordered the eraser and sanding block. Did not know that there were sanding blocks for 5" hook and loop stock. Thanks for the tips.
ОтветитьL I K E 👍👍👍 👍👍💯💯❣🤍❣💯💯🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
ОтветитьYou are so gosh darn hilarious
ОтветитьBut, but, but what happened to the nails? Where are the nails? There! Nailed it!
ОтветитьNice job. Exactly as described. Some tips I might actually use. The one I'll chew on is the question on getting glue down in a crack to repair. Reminds a bit of a vacuum bag used to do carbon fiber parts lay-ups. Maybe drop viscosity on the glue by adding some water and expecting longer set-up times, might penetrate down through without vacuum - see it emerge from bottom side. Chemically, wouldn't think watering down glue would affect its strength.
