My understanding is that you won't be charged duty on an order of 200 grams or less. That isn't a lot of tobacco but it's a way around the duty charges.
ОтветитьI would wager that I can import herion with less problem than tobacco. After all, they give it out for free in Vancouver. We live in a sick pinko world.
ОтветитьI live in Airdrie, I have never been able to order tobacco from the US without being hit hard with customs fees, no matter what store I order from.
ОтветитьIt comes through to Canada just fine, I've never had an issue. Where in Canada do you Live?
ОтветитьCanada Post has no control over which item gets taxed. it is solely under the discretion of the CBSA (Canada Border Services Agency). from my experience working at Canada Post, CBSA randomly "pulls" an item coming in from the US or International and does the inspection and valuation of imported items.
ОтветитьI just made an order from them for only about $14 US worth of tobacco and am excited to try Lane Limited BCA, though will be rolling the tobacco into cigarettes. Their customer service suggested orders shipped in envelopes are less likely to to be charged duties, as well as ones shipped with "Super Saver" or USPS First Class shipping. I chose the former and though it begins with UPS (which generally does force items through customs so they can charge an outrageous "brokerage fee"), it ends with Canada Post I was told UPS won't provide brokerage for Super Saver shipping (which I don't want them to!). Am hoping for the best. I'm not paying $50 in duties for 6 ounces of tobacco!
ОтветитьI know this is an old video, but Canada customs states that under 200 grams (approx. 7 oz) of imported tobacco will not receive a duty charge. Just in case anyone is wondering.
ОтветитьHi Erik, approx what % of your packages are getting hit with customs/duty? I stumbled on your video when looking around for this info - I'm finding a pretty high number of my parcels are being charged duty nowadays, even if I keep the orders small. Just wondering what others are experiencing. Thanks and great video!
Ответитьwell I live in the major city of Toronto Canada and I have been ordering from 4noggins since the past 2 years and since the past 6 months customs have been nailing me 95% of the time now and for the 1st time I ordered from smoking pipes a few days ago how it makes it through would you believe in this city there is only 2 retailers and there cigar shops that only sell bulk aromatics and everything tastes like lane 1q or capital black the had a tin of dunhill I don't remember which one for 70$+tax!! like 84 bucks! it's almost 13$ for cigarettes here its 30$ for a pouch of cb cmon its ridiculous man its totally overboard
ОтветитьI know exactly how you feel. I have noticed when I do the super saver international option I never get charged. But when I use the second cheapest one they will hit me with a tax. Good to see you!
ОтветитьHoly crap!!! Those are some high taxes! I'm so sick of governments over-taxing things that they think are bad for people. Unbelievable. Can you across the border into the US and buy it and just take it back with you?
ОтветитьNice to know about customs and where to buy tobacco, i lived in quebec and it's so hard to find good blend here. Taxes are just insane. nice video man and happy smoking
