Life as a kid in the 70s was the best.. playing out all day, no one knowing where you had gone, home before it got to dark, so many adventures .. parents had no clue what we had been up to. Use to roam miles away

The biggest difference I see between when I was a kid and kids now; is respect.

Milennials were pretty disrespectful growing up, no doubt about that. But only from a boomer standpoint.
We were more honest, ourspoken and careful with our words. Gen X thought us that, as well tv shows and playing outside.


Kids today though; do not give a rat's ass about respect. Showing 1% respect is already 500% too much effort for them.
You all pamper your kids and in turn they've become the most verbally aggressive generation, so far. Despite having all the world's information at their finger tips, they're also one of the d.mbest generations of all time.


Some of ya'lls kids need an educational slap, or 50.

No way your parents were coming out to look for you.

Mom: "What are the kids up to?"
Dad: "They're watching other kids play video games"
Mom: "Oh, they're sharing"

Dad: "No, they're watching other kids play video games . . . on the internet".
2020s kids: "We're playing video games on iPads"
1990s kids: "We've got four controllers and there's six/seven/eight of us from the neighborhood who all snuck the sodas and snacks down into the basement where we're all going to stay up until midnight while we take turns beating the complete <^&:*T# out of each other in the game!" Oh, what fun times!

Looking at how soft and lazy kids are now, We were better for it

I have a little sister who is ten years my junior. I grew up in the 90s, she grew up in the 2000s. You couldn’t pay me enough to swap our childhoods.

Mostly same for us 2000s babies. Just with a little less freedom in movement, and the phones started coming in like in 6th grade or so. We had club penguin before that.

I remember jerryrigging a straw and a piece of bamboo to get those balloons filled and you couldn't fast forward throughout the commercials and they always played girls gone wild at exactly three am then the tv would literally be blank also having campfires in my backyard and shooting my uncle's guns off they were the good old days when your parents saw a tick and they would use a lighter to kill it and then they would use tweezers to pull it off your legs things were a lot simpler you could leave your door unlocked without any worry and you watched very little television and you only had your imagination or some very old toys
