Yo armaba aviones a escala y los pintaba de niño mi favorito era el phantom F-4
ОтветитьMy favourite
ОтветитьHave been trying to get a simulator 95 98 Windows version mine not working love it
ОтветитьEvery time i go to greece i always see these flying over the islands
ОтветитьSince the Phantom there have been some great aircraft to follow. However none of them excite me as much as the F4 Phantom did. The sound of those twin GE J79 engines are one of a kind.
ОтветитьWhen I was a kid, I fell in love with the F 104 Starfighter
ОтветитьVery interesting
ОтветитьUse to go to the flight deck at Bunker Hill Air Force Base ( Changed name in 1968 to Grissom Air Force Base ) and watch the B52's and F4 Taking off and landing.
ОтветитьHistory in 4k.
ОтветитьAwesome plane !! Gotta luv flying dirty !!!
ОтветитьThe Greek Air Force still had a few kicking around. They use them for training new pilots and reconnaissance.
Unfortunately those few will also be gone soon as they will be replaced by some of the Greek Air Force older F16's and Mirages.
The Hellenic Airforce will only consist of 2 types of fighter jets, the Rafales and the F16 Vipers for a short while until the F35's arrive. There's also talks about possibly Greece purchasing a few Typhoons as well but I highly doubt it, I think the Hellenic Airforce will probably purchase a few more Rafales.
I always loved how the wingtip dihedrals tilted up were in opposition to the elevators downward pitch. Such a beautiful design.
ОтветитьHellenic Air Force !!!
338 ARIS Squadron
Proud to serve !!!
Thanks for sharing !
For 3 years I lived and worked very close to the flight line at a mountain base in Western Germany.
ОтветитьWow….
ОтветитьWorked with these amazing planes for four years in Germany. Great planes, fast and agile and they look bad ass.
ОтветитьLove the Phantom. Does anyone know where and when this video was shot?
ОтветитьWow…!
ОтветитьIs it forsale
Ответить11 yrs as an Electronic Warfare Officer. A lot with the 52nd TFW in Germany were the most fun years of my life. I tell young airmen that I would have given a million dollars for those experiences, but honestly I wouldn’t take a million dollars to do it again. Great war bird!
ОтветитьSad as it is, at least you will have the DCS recreation very soon
ОтветитьFun fact: the F4 was ahead of its time with respect to speed. It reached Mach 2 but they were afraid it would fall apart if it was pushed past that speed. Nobody really knows its top speed! Badazz fighter in its time
ОтветитьWhere was this
ОтветитьVery distinct sound J-79 engines they were at Ramstein AB Germany when I was stationed there
ОтветитьMagnificent!
ОтветитьWhich Airforce is that?
ОтветитьI was on an oiler in the sixties. The greatest show on earth was night flight ops when the carrier was alongside taking on fuel and launching Phantoms.
ОтветитьFANTAZUM
EL FANTASMO
PHANTOM
WHISTLING DEATH
The forward air conditioners BEST FRIEND
I was on catapult crew on Saratoga in the 70’s, loved F-4’s coming up for launch at night both afterburners kicked in and catapult sending them off deck, just beautiful seeing them go off deck.
ОтветитьMemories of my days in Vietnam. The Blue Angels put on their best show with this aircraft.
ОтветитьI worked on these in The Marine Corps for years. Flight line too. I remember running behind the motor and grabbing the chute, checking for hot brakes. That was a bad ass bird. Working on it was a bitch because each panel was filled with a million self tightening screws(They were invented by Howard Hughes).
ОтветитьMy all-time favorite American designed jet fighter. I'm 60 and they've been flying longer than I've been on this Earth! 👏
ОтветитьMy son and I absolutely love the F4 just love it. Thank you so much for doing this one.
ОтветитьLegend best multirole aircraft of its day😊😊❤
ОтветитьBack when these were being made my dad helped design the intakes at MIT... The Russians copied it and used it on the MiG 23.. Also went the eaa show in WI in 95 met and talked with the legend Robin Olds👍
ОтветитьWhere was this?
ОтветитьFabulous. Thanks.
ОтветитьWhat a bad ass jet!!!! Thanks for the share! Saddle up!
ОтветитьAs a kid I grew up next to the old El Toro MCAS. The Phantoms were the highlight of the day. The sight and the sound of an F-4 nose up in a loiter as it approached the runway is something you’ll never see or hear again.
Ответитьis this accurate? dont some countries like Iran or Iraq still have F4's in their active aircraft?
ОтветитьWhen I was a kid, I used to watch the F-4E Phantom II's flying in and out of the air force base near me. Half of our state is a MOA, and it was common to see them flying low and fast over our homes. I loved to watch them take of at night with the afterburners lighting the night up. They flew in ALL but the most severe weather. Funny thing, when the base for the F-16s.. if there was more than a mild overcast or even a hint of rain, the F-16s didn't fly. Similar affair I expect as they take away the A-10s and bring in the F35 at our local base. I'm sure the F35 will sit on the ground like the F-16 did if the day was less than sunny. Sometimes feels like backwards progress.
ОтветитьI don't think it's the last flight. Perhaps the last flight for the day of the Iniochos exercise. These are F4 АUP of the Greek Air Force.
ОтветитьUs old fellas know the difference between the old Cold War planes and the new ones, the old ones ( F-4 A-10 F/A-18 were built for a street fight the new ones ( f-22 F-35 f-117) are designed for an international sanctioned boxing match. 😊
ОтветитьGreat looking beauty, always loved the phantom
ОтветитьÉ muito lindo taxeando 🤩
ОтветитьOnly one still flightworthy? Hard to believe with the number we had in Vietnam. USAF, Navy, Marines all flew them. I thought there was at least one flying in the US but that may have been part of Collings Foundation’s Vietnam Flight. Collings is fully grounded by FAA (at least their ride ticket). Some of their warbirds will go to their own museum in MA. They should sell the jets to another organization that could still fly them. Static display of perfectly flyable planes seems like such a waste.
ОтветитьAbsolutely awesome! After all these years of service the Phantom has still got the ooooh factor.
Thanks for another great video Dafydd 😊
Loved it!
ОтветитьStill the baddest looking jet of the lot
