Why you should NOT rush to unite JAPAN in EU4

This video is not meant to be a call out or anything like that. Just wanted to show how many show strengths you can do with Uesegi while still consolidating very fast. You can do this strategy with any Daiymo but Uesegi is the strongest and fastest.

What nation do you think can do the most show strengths in eu4?

Just an update for latest patch. Korea will easily dev our renaissance and you dont need to worry about doing it yourself. Just conquer their land.

HOW did he got +1 stab day 1 without unpause? he only has 98 mana but it requires 100 mana to get 1 stab. Also he hasn't taken advisors yet

And then there is me who just picks Ashikaga, opens with inno and sometimes espionage but it's not needed for a -90 so I'll drop it if I do take it to get max advisor discount asap and then proceeds to slowly dev every province up to at least 40 before deciding to leave the Islands. This has always resulted in a more stable and powerful Japan than any of my daimyo unification runs, the only downside is ideas which tbh, matter less and less the further into the game you go.

That aside, stacking show strength to not fall behind on tech will allow ashikaga to integate a lot more and it cucked me in one run, since I couldn't full annex them in one war and they went to become a ming tributary. Not saying it shouldn't be done, but you have to be selective.

This strategy just got me the Chrysanthenum Throne achievement! It really works well :)

I cannot grab land once I give +1 mana to all 2 states! Did they fix that? Because all these experts take it for granted.

Definitely dev institutions on echigo and iwami. You get events later in the game (after 1520 or so) to get gold mines on those provinces)
