This is a short documentary about our good friend Sam and his relationship with surfing. This was my first time shooting surf as a subject and I loved it.
Do you guys surf ? And which one is your favourite shot? :)
Cheers,
Flo
Man i have subscribed you and its pleasure to get notifications from this awesome channel ❤.
ОтветитьLoved it! 10/10
I honestly I loved the shot of him getting in the truck early morning. I loved that shot because I could see what you were you doing there with the single street lamp over his head and having the frame of mind that early in the morning to get the shot is something I'm trying to get better at myself. So often when I get home to the edit there are too many shots I wished I had thought to get.
This was mesmerizing! As a surfer myself, who struggles to balance "life" with the desire to be able to surf good waves, the end hit me like a ton of bricks. It's true. You can't buy waves...
ОтветитьWonderful told and shot documentary! 👌 Incredible colours! Ever considered mastering a version in PQ HDR10(+) for YT and Vimeo? As I have a pro grading suite at hand, I’d be happy to help. 🙃 just drop me a line.
ОтветитьExcellent
ОтветитьInspiring video. I discovered surfing a couple years ago (34 years old now) and I can’t get enough. I drive 5 hours round trip every weekend to surf and continue to battle with the idea of selling the house and making the move to somewhere closer to the ocean.
I have lots of other hobbies (golf, ski, music, tennis, soccer, basketball, etc), but nothing is quite like surfing, and it’s where my heart is.
Thank you for making this and giving some of us hope that it is possible to chase your dreams.
You can buy them now in wave pools 😅😅
Ответитьlove this so much especially the part where he says you cant buy the waves!!
ОтветитьYou can buy a wave machine 💗
ОтветитьHola...podrías hacer el vídeo con audio en español? Gracias saludos desde Cuba 🇨🇺
ОтветитьThis was really well done. Excellent storytelling and beautiful shots.
ОтветитьThis just really motivated me both as a beginner surfer 🏄🏾♂️ and cinematographer. I live in Cape Canaveral Florida. I’m going to use this as a template. Thank you for your inspiration because I can totally relate to everything Sam said. This is amazing!!!!
ОтветитьAlways good to see someone happy!! ❤🤙🏽 Good job guys!!
ОтветитьAmazing vibes man!...tnx 4 sharing🤙
Ответитьnice movie. the color grading is pretty nice
Ответить"What are you doing to do? You can't buy waves"
Kelly Slater: "Hold my organic kombucha"
What a great documentary, cheers!
I'll keep the quote in mind for sure 🤗
Wow, This was really special from a surfer wannabee (and still might at 60+). The whole vibe of this was so sincere and comfortable. Want a wonderful piece of film 🙏👌👏🙏
ОтветитьYou got skills! Respect buddy! 🤙
ОтветитьJust wondering where along the east coast Sam lives?
ОтветитьNice 💪
ОтветитьIf you're claustrophobic, how do you get barreled ?

Ответитьincredibly beautiful cinematography!
ОтветитьAwesome doco
I'm 31 looking to start surfing better late than never
Absolutely loved every second of this. A masterpiece. Beautifully told story. Keep it up!
ОтветитьGreat docy guys! Loved it, only would just say as a surfer that some longer continous shots of some of the waves would add to it. Love seeing a wave from paddle in to kick out.
Also extended version with snowboarding in?! Would love that
Wauw i love this man! This is a big inspiration. ✨ Is this shot in prores?
ОтветитьYou actually can buy waves. More money equates to more surf trips.
ОтветитьLove this so much !! So beautiful
ОтветитьSam knows what he wants.....very few people do! Nice documentary, enjoyed till the end. The truck is film material...Well done
Ответитьnice.
ОтветитьFinally someone that can tell a good story, and doesn't have to rely on a gimbal for a change. If I see one more gimbal shot I will vomit. Handheld all the way for documentary work and narrative.
ОтветитьWsl would like to tell you otherwise
Ответитьlegendary Mr Green
ОтветитьLove the format and the quality on my 21:9 screen. The lowlight shots are quite impressive
Ответитьwhat a line "What am I gunna do with the money? You cant buy waves." Love it
Ответитьawseome clip really enjoyed this!
ОтветитьWow, seen a lot of surf doco's you nailed it. And Sam's a legend
Ответить😊 😊
