The Pursuit of Holiness in Orthodox Christianity

I love Fr. Timothy's prayer he mentioned:

"Lord, help me to see and love myself as You see me and love me. And help me to see and love all people as You see and love all people."

I think a lot of it is people seeking truth and people who stand by their faith and it's principles. When "churches" are hosting drag show and stuff today people don't respect it. I think orthodox Christianity is moral and stands by the faith and doesn't just make up their own ideologies and try and say it's Christianity.

I’m over 50 and am learning about orthodoxy being an evangelical Christian for 30 years. I’m thrilled and scared at the same time. The paradigm shift is extremely transformative.

"TRUTH is a Person. LOVE is a Person. The KINGDOM OF HEAVEN is a Person.."
[So, when we ask the Lord, the Holy Trinity, to lead us to TRUTH., to fill us with LOVE, to lead us to the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, (the way i might phrase that), we are asking to be filled with a PERSON..
Not an idea, not a quality, not an action, (as valuable as they might be), but a PERSON.. ☦📿💝📿☦

The Church has treasure in many places and different cultures and traditions are all part of the church. However our desire is always Jesus Christ, . Our hearts desire is. Always Holiness with a fever for good works. Lights in the darkness of a sinful world. So we are to be of Christ but active in the world.

The Plandemic and the evil it projected on society by the governments all over the world . The stolen election, and attack on family values . Evil called good and good called evil. Lord have mercy on us .

I disagree with the father slightly on the first question. The increased interest in the orthodox church, in my mind, is due to mankind's inability to square the circle with modern life.

We all know, deep down and fundamentally, that modern "life" as it were is actually death. We live in a culture that is death. It is abhorrent and abominable, but many (most) lack the understanding of where this discontent comes from.

The orthodox church, with its ancient traditions and stalwart presence, is very appealing to those that cannot find assurance or meaning in a world that has gone completely and utterly insane.

HOWEVER, we cannot root ourselves in the rejection of something, which is where so many in the online orthodox right fail. Our desires need to be firmly rooted in the foundational aspects and Truth that is Christ and not in a Julius Evola'esque rejection of modernity.

One may lead to the other, but the foundation of rejection must be quickly shed in order to receive the full Revelation of Christ.

I wish all of those on this journey the blessings of God and may He have mercy on us all.

There is Absolutely No Holiness within Orthodoxy, with there "Doctrines of Devils and Lies of Hypocrisies" beginning in 1 Timothy 4, for "Forbidding Marriage" to there Demonized Leadership, Shrouded In Absolute Darkness, while Appearing as Angel's of Light, to Decieve The Masses into Hell with Them All for Eternity. He just Blasphemed The Holy Spirit, for it has absolutely nothing to do with these Demonized Liars From Hell, which is the only unpardonable sin. There Holiness has absolutely nothing to do with these Warlocks and Witches From Hell.

If someone wants and yearns for the truth, then look at the Orthodox Church. They are full of truths about the Lord Jesus Christ. You will hear the truth in the Orthodox Church.

For sure, you can see his eyes full of compassion. My friends, you can see Christ in him. When I'm listening to him, Christ is in him, and he is attached to Christ.

Piety has NO PLACE in the workings of Christ Jesus. None.

Fr. Pavlatos truly speaks with love that it seems few people in our world have access to. I am new to Orthodoxy and have been attending an Orthodox church, and I am very moved by his words. Thank you so much for this lovely video.

We are Christians. Those of us who desire to die to ourselves and pick up our cross are called disciples. We are not orthodox disciples, catholic disciples or protestant disciples. You-like many others are creating division when you constantly associate tenets of Jesus within 1 specific church. You know the sermon on the mount, did Jesus speak of traditions to follow or did He give us the way to the kingdom of Heaven? Pride has become the UGLY virtue of too many (insert denomination) Christians. I thought we both loved and worshipped the same beloved Christ?

This is such a refreshing interview. The grace of God helps us stop above the typical battles we see online. It’s not about gender or politics or ideology one way or the other. It is about being a full human, being holy, having a living relationship with God.

Good luck with the fast if you earn your daily bread via hard labour. Confess and repent if you have intention of taking communion at the end of Pascha . Don't forget that Christ mocked the hypocrates .
