Who here also likes shooting at night? Drop any night related questions for me in the comments :)
ОтветитьSimply one of the best street photography channels on YT Exceptional quality video and excellent content Well done‼️
ОтветитьReally enjoyed the vid 🫡👍👍
ОтветитьThanks dude! Followed you on IG as well!
ОтветитьX100V low light images shown don't look better than image taken from phone though? I assume the camera used to take the video is a very different one and actually excel in low light, anyone know what he is using for the recording?
ОтветитьI discovered your channel in the last few weeks and I love it, I am learning so much. I am a night shooter (?) and your videos were making me want to shoot during the day... Until I saw this video. Now I'm even more sure than before that night photography is what I like.
ОтветитьDuring the day I love Auto ISO but, once the twilight or dark comes, I'll be chasing the slowing shutter speed I can get away with all the time. Nothing revelatory there, except maybe to say it can work to change shutter speed with every shot, time permitting. So if a camera has the option to vary shutter speed through, say, a front control dial that's very easily accessible I think that should be a priority setting.
ОтветитьI love nigjt photography.
I'm still learning all the settings.
My last time out was awesome.
I just come across this video and it's wonderfully done. However I do find it interesting that even safety is definitely the priority, but being relatively more nervous about going to shoot at night seems more like an American thing. I stayed in the US for 5 years and I can confirm. But I don't really find the night photography that dangerous in other places like the UK or China. Just some random things in my mind hopeful you don't mind.
Ответитьi like your music. what are they?
ОтветитьI’m wondering what you are considering ‘high iso’
ОтветитьVery good video with lots of very good advice. Respecting people's privacy is something that one NYC vlogger in particular should learn.
ОтветитьAs someone who shoots almost entirely at night, i really appreciate this video. You touched on a lot of things i do, but don't take the time to think about it clearly.
ОтветитьFaizal ... very impressive lesson. I learned a lot. Have been photographing for quite some time, but not much at night. Your video has helped me with the motivation to go out and give it a try and use some of things you've highlighted. You are a gifted teacher and a dedicated and creative photographer.
Ответитьyes, what you mentioned definitely resonates with my experience. nighttime photography is completely different, requiring a slower pace to observe.
ОтветитьI'll have to get out & start learning/practising for an upcoming international vacation this summer.
In your camera settings, do you turn on Flicker Mode Reduction due to neon/fluorescent lighting? Forgot to ask, do you use (10%)CineBloom filters? Not familiar with them , just read about them in my night photography research. Enjoyed the video as always.
I love shooting at night something about it is just so calming
ОтветитьNight photography is the only photography I thoroughly enjoy every minute of. Even if I get home and they are all trash photos. Just the act of having my camera out at night satisfies me.
ОтветитьThanks for all of your videos, especially this one since I normally head out at night in NYC trying to learn to shoot better photos
ОтветитьMalay?
Ответитьgreat tips and soothing voice to listen in
ОтветитьI don't know what to compliment first; your cinematographic and calming video, your advice or the fact that you also include the safety aspects in the video. Love it! keep up the amazing work!
ОтветитьI liked this video very much, you're very talented. However, I have visited your webpage, what a disappointment. Your Squarespace thing is obviously pure advertisement, you don't practice what you preach.
Ответить拍的太好了 感谢分享
ОтветитьFuji's idea of having the noise look like grain instead of little square artifacts in crossword puzzle patterns was brilliant. I never think of noise when using a Fuji. I always consider that in the film days, pushing 1600 ASA film a couple of stops was the only way to go anyway.
ОтветитьGreat video. Beautiful cinematography and music. Felt like a transcendental experience!
Ответитьme, a woman, watching you guys talk about your nighttime street photography sessions: 👁️👄👁️
Ответитьthis was filmed and edited beautifully
ОтветитьHey, weird question, but what is the font you use for your title card?
ОтветитьHi Faizal, love your content. Could u tell us which camera are u using for the video?
ОтветитьTook me awhile to realize you’re in Boston - great stuff on your channel !
I’ve shot in Back Bay at night but never DTX. Have you had any issues with getting hassled in DTX at night, esp. with a camera?
Great tut ! Anyway it would be nice you print the actual setting on each photo you show, like ISO, SS or aperture … 🙏💯💯
ОтветитьOur streets are definitely not safe at night in the UK. It’s so sad but even in a small market town there is danger on our streets
ОтветитьWas looking for a camera review but found a piece of art instead ✨
ОтветитьLove your style, close to asmr. Getting you those long view times ;)
ОтветитьThis somehow so mofuckin Peaceful. Oh My GOD 🤩🤩
ОтветитьI’m all good with embracing grain and it’s really nicely distributed on the 100V. I really think ibis is the only thing missing from that camera, though…
ОтветитьWhat filter do you use?
ОтветитьI'm not sure if I missed it, I know you mentioned embracing the grain of higher ISO films, but what ISO did you use here in this shoot? Keen to use a F of 2 and ShSp of 1/30 - 1/100 but the outcomes could vary wildly if I use the wrong ISO ><
ОтветитьWhat is the music starting at 07min24 please?
ОтветитьLove the pace, the tone of your voice. Instructive, relaxing and inspiring.
ОтветитьIt's always funny to hear what people consider "not good for night photography". I'm getting an x100v specifically because it's better for low light 🤣 but i have a ricoh griii. Anything over 3200 is a sludgy mess on the ricoh. But i used to shoot my xpro2 at 6400, and even 12,800 looked better than the gr at like 4000. The one benefit of the gr tho, is the ibis. Letting people blur and turn into ghosts is actually really interesting
ОтветитьThanks for the great video. I get that high ISO is less of an issue for stills, but how do you deal with noise when filming video at night?
Ответитьyou keep me up x
Ответитьvid soothing man I love night photography
ОтветитьMany of your thoughts about shooting at night, seeking scenes out cinematically and pensively, the vulnerabilities and cautions, making grainy photos B&W worst case scenario, etc. all mirror my own feelings exactly. Really well-constructed and creative video, as always. I missed this one earlier this year, but just picked up an X100V — current X-T2/4, X-H1, X-Pro3 AND X-E4 owner. But my X-Pro3 was just dealt a debilitating & highly frustrating blow in the way of the back screen stopped working, and now the flip lcd touch no longer works either — this after my first two X-Pro3s needed to be returned because of the optical viewfinder issues this model experienced early on in it's release. So I decided it was time to finally give the X100V a try. I always hated that my X-Pro3 didn't have an HDMI port anyway, among other buttons on it that can't be pushed in, etc. the X-Pro3 was in many ways always lacking somehow, for me. And it's problems almost made me leave Fujifilm entirely. Almost... lol. Anyway, great scenes and thoughts in this video.
