Where did you got the matching colors of the wiring to rebuild the harness? Thanks in advance!
ОтветитьI ve given up fitting led signals to my m800 intruder 2008 .Spent a small fortune on indicators , different flasher units , diode kits ect .
Ответитьhey brother did you ever install a relay? I did the diode on my vs1400 thank you very much and have the relay but perplexed how to attach it.
ОтветитьThank you so very much
ОтветитьLove your videos. Doing this mod right now and following your lead. Thanks
Ответитьi used diodes from scrap LCD TV board...specs is a bit higher, the interweb say higher specs is not a problem...and it works
ОтветитьGreat video. Used LED turn signals on a Suzuki GS500 scrambler build and would have been lost without this. Clear, concise instruction that was easy to follow with no confusion. Many thanks.
ОтветитьOff to Jaycar for more bits n pieces 😂
ОтветитьAwesome video! Thanks!
ОтветитьBehind the headlight of my 2007 1400, the large blue connector doesn't have that light green and blue wires.. but there are two smaller connectors with them. I'm guessing one is for blinker and other is for all for Flash. I've hit a road block
Ответитьso, what if I changed the speedo lights to leds, no incandescent on the bike installed an led flasher relay, lights look ok, but have energy spilling over.. turn signals have brake lights, running and turn. I have voltage in the brake wire of the led if the running is receiving and opposite turn signal of the one that is energized. is that my wiring or is that a circuit board problem with the lights?
ОтветитьHi do you have the diagram for 2005 kawasaki vulcan 1600 nomad In which cables should I make that jumper?
ОтветитьHi I installed some switchback halo to my Yamaha when I brake or used the turn signal my indicator light show some fade light so I installed a switch to turn the light off and everything work well the indicator in the switchback led work well do you think the current is going back in the system and can a diode fix it ?
ОтветитьHi I job you can help me i try to install led signal lights on my 1999 honda nighthawk 750 I get the resistance but doesn't work please help
ОтветитьWhat is the diode code to use ?
ОтветитьA ‘96 I bought came without turn signals and I have fork ring l.e.d.’s for the front with a single split strip for the back that functions as a brake light as well. Been trying to figure out which wires are for the front and rear turn signals. Been tapping into wires and blowing fuses. Don’t have a manual and could really use your help!! Thanks in advance and love the content!!
ОтветитьThanks you so much. I did the wire split now all i have to find is the wire closter in my 2015 victory Vision
ОтветитьLEGEND is this the same principle for a 600s bandit?
ОтветитьThanks for the video. It would be super helpful if you could explain what these wires do (the ones that you cut in order to splice the Y-cord with diodes). Where does each wire come from and where is it going. Not all bikes have the same connector inside the headlight can. This way your fix could be applied to other bikes besides your Intruder. Thank you!
Ответитьwhat's the amp rating on the wire you are using
ОтветитьDAMN! I can wire my house now! Thanks for the clear tutorial!
ОтветитьI tried this on my Honda rebel 250 I watched this video over and over to make sure I did it right and did not work for me. My signals do absolutely nothing now and I already have an LED relay. I have check the fuses and that is not the problem. Not sure what else to do
ОтветитьGreat Video. Thanks for all the helpful links in description!
ОтветитьExcellent video! However to my surprise, my headlight wiring does not look like yours very much. I tried to install the diode splitter to the best of my ability but it did not seem to solve my problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is driving me mad.
2002 Yamaha V Star Classic 1100
Cheers
It not only works on an intruder my Drz had the same connector and it's working , same wire colours same plugs . Thanks for a great tutorial 👍
ОтветитьGreat video, and great explanation, I am doing the same conversation in my 97 Honda valkyrie 👍👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьCan’t thank you enough! Got a Honda Rebel 250, watches a few Honda videos and I was not very clear I mean they did a good job of wire color and such but you showed me very clearly where to cut the wires and where they came from and going to. That gave me the confidence to take on my bobber with les signals and a new relay I ordered, and as a newbie I’m so happy and thankful! I finally got good signal!
ОтветитьYour LED flasher relay libk is no longer working.. Do you have another suggestion..? Thank you
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьWhy not just fit an led relay instead of all this messing about?
ОтветитьHi Hagar... i have exactly a 1997 Intruder and I tried to fix this problem like you did.
now if I flash on the left it works perfectly. But if I flash on the right, still all 4 flashers start to blink.
Do you maybe know what the problem could be? Greets, Fabri
Very informative video and well explained, thanks!
ОтветитьFound my fix. You don't need to use a diodes or resistors to do the conversion. All you need is a CF15 LED non-polarity flasher. It is a three prong flasher, while most Flashers for vintage bikes are two prong. The third prong goes to ground. The CF12, CF13, and CF14 will still have problems. You have to get a CF15. I got one off Amazon for $11 and my 83 Suzuki GR650 was up and running using cheap Amber 1156 LEDs I got off Amazon in a four pack for $10. Total conversion cost was $21. I also converted my instrument panel for $8 for a pack of ten 194 LED bulbs. Then added an LED headlight. I got and LED rear/break 1157 years ago when they first came out, back when they were expensive. It's still kind of dim, as it also doubles as a license plate light, so you have to use a white one in a red on top, white underneath cover. I've been searching for a dual LED (Red Beam/White on bottom) for it, but haven't found one.
ОтветитьI have a 1983 Suzuki GR650 Tempter and tried to convert the bulbs to LED. For the turn signals, I installed an LED flasher, but the bulbs are woanky. I had to leave the front turn signal bulbs as incandescent to make it work. The Tempter has independent indicators for the turn signals, left and right. If I switch the indicators back to incandescent, it does not effect the outcome. I have a feeling that the indicators are pulling power from the switch directly and are not in the turn signal loop. Will a diode (one for each side) on the front turn signals fix the problem?
Ответитьhi can you help. just fitted smaller indicators to my bike there not leads. now they are hyper blinking. these indicators have one wire coming from them and frame is used as earth .if I need a resistor how would this be wired.any help would be appreciated.
ОтветитьIm having the same issue on a 2013 softail slim HD. Im hoping this works the same, because you're the only one i found that clearly explained why id have one dim led. Just curious if putting a diode on the individual led wiring would work instead of in the headlight housing. Thanks for taking the time to share such valuable knowledge. God knows what the Harley dealer would bend me over for. Much appreciated.
Ответитьnice 1, happy new year
ОтветитьDiode value pls
ОтветитьAnyone have the problem of rear turn signal works and front stay on (no blinking)
I didn’t did the diode install yet, just disconected the turn signal indicator.
(yamaha vstar250 2011)
Estaría de lujo que le pongas subtitulo en español a los vídeos 👍
ОтветитьThanks for the videos man, I haven't gotten my Intruder yet but it's coming!
ОтветитьMay i know the amper of diode do you use.??
ОтветитьI have a 1975 Norton with a positive ground system. How does the wiring need to be changed for my LED signals to work?
ОтветитьYou lost me at rubber gloves for wiring??????
ОтветитьReally good video, I need todo this on my 83 Fiesta, as fitting led front and rear indicators all 4 are going off. Companies want £10 for the "kit" basically what you've just made.
Update - Worked perfectly, I now have indicators working as they should! Thanks again chap.
I have a 2001 intruder 1400vs and I put me led blinkers on and both sides are not working then I put stick back on and those don’t work either.would this still be the same process to do for my bike ?
ОтветитьWow thank you you solved my problem
ОтветитьDoes this affect the rear indicators as well.?
ОтветитьSo, I'm a little confused ! Do the 2 wires from the double end of your diode splitter connect to the leftover wires that were cut or do they connect to left, right blinker wires from the switch ?
Ответить
