how to fix OBS Studio failed to connect to the server facebook

I found a solution: In Facebook SETUP OPTIONS, make sure that USE A PERSISTENT STREAM KEY and USE A BACKUP STREAM are OFF (:

For me the fix was going to my firewall settings in windows and setting the outbound rule for obs.exe to connect. Basically the firewall was blocking its outbound connection and I had to create a rule in the firewall settings to let it connect.

guys upgrade your OBS software, I had this problem, I updated to latest version and used Facebook Live to connect, added my stream key as per normal and worked perfect. cheers

Now FB force you to connect with SSL, which the number is 443, and changing to 1935 doesn't work.

Hey if this video did not work for u guys just follow this: Go to Settings -> Advanced in OBS, and set the "Bind to IP" option back to default.

So I switched little snitch to alert mode, tried connecting and got a pop up "OBS is trying to connect to Facebook" so I said yes forever, then switched little snitch back to silent deny mode. Works now.

Disable little snitch if you have it. Trying to figure out proper settings as I don't want to disable it completely but as soon as I disabled it, it connected right away.

Still didn't work.
