What would this machine be used for in your home.

I use cpu, my home server are too loud. I need something like 2-4 mainboard in a case with big water cooling. Mainboard with dual epyc 7V12 or 7B12.

Buying the server is the easy part. The real challenge is to write code that actually uses most of the power and uses it with reasonable efficiency. I got a few old but still powerful servers and writing and debugging the code eats an enormous amount of your time. It's fun when you deploy, however.

I don’t know what’s more exciting, knowing that I can now buy a supercomputer for $80,000 or wondering if I can build a better one for less in just 2 years 😂

And all data delivered free to Microsoft. Making each house a simulation unit deliverin billions of Dollar worth of real life data. People paying for being under high tech surveillance.

If it wasn't for the fact Nvidia has been giving these accelerators miserable on-board RAM pools resulting in needing Directed IO performance (to read and write to system RAM), an AMD version would be absolutely amazing, as the performance on the CPU core side is more bound by thread speed rather than count, meaning lane counts would be more important than lane speed.

But can it run Crysis?

you will need the deeper rack than the regular one. Remember that before you think of adding it to your rack and buy it only to see it doesnt work.. and now the cheap rack you found for your current systems on craigslist cant be returned and now it will have to sit on top until you get the funds for a deep rack system which makes you question the whole point of getting a rack in your house to begin with because now you need something much bigger.. the monster is growing...Do you turn back or keep feeding it and now its taking up significant space in your dining room.

I have zero need for those A100s, but the rest of that machine is right up my alley. I've always been a fan of SM's workstation towers but when AMD launched Zen 2 that made dual Xeon builds dead to me. That said, when my current 3970X rig hits retirement age, I would definitely consider a TR Pro system with this level of refinement... way less janky than my DIY watercooling.
