I got into 40K pretty recently, and just picked up some minis myself. Once my paints arrive, I'm definitely going to enjoy painting them with what you've showed off in your tutorials.
ОтветитьI think it's really nice when eperienced painter gives such valuable lesson for newbies just beginning their adventure. You shown how we can (not perfectly, but quite elegant) paint miniatures from starter set without battery of different paints, but with just paints from starter pack. Thanks!
ОтветитьThanks for this perfect step-by-step tutorial dude!
I'll try this week-end with my first Space Marine and Tyranid!
How do you keep your colours active/wet on your palett? I feel like once once I mixed a colour and used it once, it already dried out by the time i need to reload my brush with it
ОтветитьPainting my very first miniature set now, 10th edition introductory set. This video has given me a lot of confidence that my minis won't look good awful. Thank you for the help.
Edit- Is it okay to use normal acrylic paints like for canvas on minis? It may seem like a dumb question but like I said I'm a noob.
So if your a new painter you might as well make a wet pallet it can easily be made with a Tupperware I've even used old plastic lunch meat containers cleaned first of course. Then fold like 5 paper towels so they fit in the container then put a peice of parchment paper on top of your paper towels tats also cut to fit. Your paper towel will keep moisture and the parchment with seperate your paint and keep it wet and usable much longer you can always put the lid on and come back tomorrow
ОтветитьOrdered the middle starter set. Super excited and terrified 😂
ОтветитьGoddamn, bro got us covered. tyvm
ОтветитьThis does feel like an excellent introduction to mini-painting. Just got my first models a week ago, looking forward to using this as a guide! Thanks a bunch.
ОтветитьFell out of love with painting for a while, but hoping to get back into it soon by trying my first Space Marine. Thank you for the video!
ОтветитьIs it normal that they dont have decals?
ОтветитьI was always interested in this universe and they finally made me try it out. I first learned about war hammer though the death korps of kreig actually
ОтветитьOkay this is mental. I've never had a good skill in painting, but with this video I was able to paint base colors easly. Good job man, good hob. On to the definition and highlits!
ОтветитьMy only question on this guide is how I can expand upon it? Like what should I buy to further my painting
ОтветитьBest tutorial vid I've seen, everything's explained concisely without any bloat. Got all the materials listed in the videos and I've been having fun painting, and thanks to the basics you taught me here they're looking pretty awesome! Feel like I can build upon these basics and enjoy the learning process. Thanks dude!
ОтветитьConsider myself a fairly experienced painter but still loved the video. Wish it had been around when I started off many years ago. Am sure it will inspire a whole new generation of model painting artists. Thanks for putting it out there.
ОтветитьI am starting with this new hobby and i have to say you did a great tutorial, very usefull. Appreciated the tips. I will keep watching your channel
ОтветитьVery helpful. Thank you
Cheers
Can you please do a guide on how to paint gems/ lenses, because I don’t know how to do the glowing affect on the eyes and other areas on my space marines.
ОтветитьThank you very much for this amazing tutorial! I have just started getting into 40K and bought myself a combat patrol and paint set. This is the such a helpful video for a complete novice like me. I’ve just subscribed 👍
ОтветитьPlease tips for painting salamanders
ОтветитьI'd love to see you cover the Crimson Fists color pallete! It would be so helpful!
ОтветитьI just started this hobby like a week ago. Now I have 32 paints [a lot of shades and technical] and my biggest hurdle is accidental touches :( I got myself magnifying glass to help me aim but still I from time to time mess up, which means I have to do yet another QC pass with same colors. After like 15 hours I am still in pre-nuln oil phase of painting about 17 miniatures [adepta sororitas] (as denoted in duncan tutorial). I still have to do QC abaddon black pass after all other passes. It's undending. But so much fun to see the result and the zen feeling doing it!
ОтветитьAwesome buddy
ОтветитьKind of random but when painting your own space marines do you still segment paint things like pouches and ornaments on the belts?
I've just finished up a 10 man kill team in phobos armor and i find it pretty difficult scrubbing off paint, applying glue and then frustratingly placing the pouch/knife/hostler.
I've never painted a fully constructed model but i would much rather not have to glue tiny parts to the models after they are finished. I'm wondering if its worth the frustration of gluing the tiny parts or if i'm better off just painting them after sticking them on the marine or any other model?
What great timing on this video. My first miniatures and tools are supposed to arrive today and last weekend i watched your tutorial on Necrons and Space Marines from 2 years ago. I was just looking for it again and saw this one. I have wanted to get into 40k tabletop for quite awhile and am most interested in the war game but excited to get to painting also and my wife is an artist so naturally I am diving in head first with the Leviathan box set.
ОтветитьHi. love your beginner tutorial 😊👍🏻. Is there any difference if i use a synthetic brush? (the white ones)
ОтветитьI have a suggestion for the next space marine chapter you could do, the Lamenters!!
ОтветитьJust spent 2 whole months trying to make money for these two sets 😂only £3 away! This video really has boosted on how to paint minis 👍
ОтветитьVehicles from 92nd Cadia regiment where?
ОтветитьCool as always.
ОтветитьYour 9th edition guide was really good, but this is a genuine upgrade. While I’m not new to 40k, I will say this is a much better guide video. Well done!
ОтветитьNothing better than making do with what you have
ОтветитьThank you for these fantastic high quality tutorials. I’m the eternal newbie, I love videos to get you started.
ОтветитьI have just brought this paint set I'm curious what chapters can you print with it
ОтветитьThanks for your amazing tutorial !
I started the hobby three months ago, and I learned all the showed technics, but I needed to watch a lot of different videos.
It's great to compile all theses in one video, I know what to share for new people starting the hobby 😊
Thank you for your work
Thanks for the video, I’ve been thinking about starting for a couple of weeks and I’m actually going shopping tomorrow to buy some form of starter kit so this will be a huge help
ОтветитьI love the way you painted the space marine and tyranid easily 10/10 keep up the good work! 👍 I got very happy when you said your genestealer video will been in November as that is my birthday month. 🥳
ОтветитьKnowlegde is power and watching you is knowlegde!!!
ОтветитьNice guide. But even for beginners I recommend and undercoat so the base paints adhere better. Even a cheap can of grey plastic primer from a Halfords in the UK or even pound store black spray paint is fine. Shouldn't blow cost out.
ОтветитьSweet.. never knew that bit about the shield icon
ОтветитьDo you use varnish after finishing painting the miniatures or is there no need?
Ответитьis it a medium dry brush or a small dry brush? You mentioned Medium Dry but the graphic on screen shows an S
ОтветитьIm going to be honest and say thank you for this video. I didnt know they made this 2 peice pack and ive wanted to try painting WH but didn't want to buy a $75 to $200 pack just to maybe find out i didnt like it. Super easy to follow you!
ОтветитьOh hell yeah an updated video, started recently with this set and ive done the space marine thru the older tutorial so far! I was thinking about what to use as reference for the tyranid, now i can watch this!
Also i didn't have blue tac so i used double sided tape, hope that helps someone else!
That scrapping tool is very good considering it comes with the paint pack, mine is 1.5 years old and still works.
ОтветитьGreat tutorial
ОтветитьThank you for such a great guide!
Ответить❤❤❤❤
