How to Disable Drag Top of Screen Snap Layouts on Windows 11 [Tutorial]

Thx! Excellent, disabled it completely. It is mind boggling the amount of small settings you need to adjust to make windows 11 somewhat remotely usable. Slowly disabling everything Microsoft introduced with Win10 and Win11 to get Win7 GUI look&feel. (Long live classic shell apps!!)

thank you! i just got a new computer with windows 11 and this was driving me mad!

I saw CMD prompt in the beginning and was like, you got to be kidding me, but alas, they had a check box. The should have named the option, "Hide the most annoying windows 11 feature" .
It's not like you can't do everything that feature offers if it's hidden. You just have to move your mouse an inch or two more.....Have we really become that lazy? God help us.

This is a RIDICULOUS solution..... A significantly easier and the standard Windows solution?
Settings > System > Multitasking > Snap Windows Change the setting to OFF

I've gone round and round with your suggestion and the particular selection you recommend does not show on my machine. Zoe franny IB dazed and confuzed on this. Checked version and is good, looked and searched through settings without finding.

This bar was neat at first but became flipping annoying when working with a lot of windows and placing them manually makes it almost impossible sometimes..
Just applied your fix and THANK YOU it worked!!!
