ОтветитьI'm 73, borned 1950 in Amsterdam and my Dad took me as I was 6 years old to a Cafe, Dave was playing. It was the first time for me, but not the last. Great Music and people.
Thanks Dad, and Dave
Best album ever made, I’m a old rocker by heart and a musician but this album is the best ever.
ОтветитьThe saxophonist Paul Desmond was responsible for this composition and its written in a 5/4 time signature hence “Take Five” I only heard this once & I was completely hooked on jazz which is strange as before this my preferred choice of music was Heavy Rock
ОтветитьPaul Emil Breitenfeld also plays the saxophone here.

ОтветитьDude seems like he’s breaking a lot of rules
ОтветитьWhen I was in my childhood and I heard this piece, I always imagined driving through the mountains in a Austin Healy on a serpentine road being chased by a gangster in a black Galaxie 500. To be honest, I still do 😂
ОтветитьMy favourite Jazzpeace, the most unforgiven, well known four notes after Beethovens maintheme in the 3d Symphony. Thank you RIP

This always reminds me of Piet Mondrian's Broadway Boogie Woogie, exciting music exciting art, exciting life forces from a time when New York City was truly a great Metropolis that had resonance, alas poor city how low you have fallen since.
ОтветитьThe absolute best era of jazz
ОтветитьTrue Jazz at its best.
ОтветитьSo right, if u don't like this, u don't like music, full stop.
ОтветитьIs that an alto sax? it sounds so much like a clarinet to me. Alto sax?
ОтветитьI mean....what is this? Freedom of expression.Let that be a lesson to all of us.

ОтветитьJust told my son to play this regularly to my 2 week old grandson - He will grow up musical. I'm jamming to it on my old Radio King's. Makes me feel glad to be alive.

ОтветитьGli accordi iniziali ti si stampano letteralmente nella mente e riesci a ricordarrli dopo decine di anni.
ОтветитьWhat ever happened to music, can somebody please tell me
ОтветитьGood music can be nothing but good music
Ответитьthis made me discover my love for jazz as a child, I turned 17 now, still my favorite piece to play
ОтветитьPeople are commenting on seeing the band at colleges. They took on segregation and won, refusing to play if Eugene Wright their black bassist were not allowed on stage with them. Brubeck cancelled a TV appearance when he discovered that the producers were planning to keep Eugene off-camera
ОтветитьClassic by a master
ОтветитьJust timeless
