please do an update video scan
I have an old shaw dish measurement are 90" wide and 67" high, and i bought a bracket like u did in your video, but i cant align the lnb to the center. And your video probably helpme
ОтветитьMy digital readout inline satellite meter with audible beeps is a big help. It not only helps aim, it's good for focus, skew, and aiming to the right part of the dish. I got nowhere trying to use just the box and TV.
ОтветитьWere there any other Satelites that you were able to pick up like Eutelsat or any others? with the LNB setup.
ОтветитьHI I have just found your video, I have exchanged the LNB, My question does it matter about were you connect on the 4 terminals, on switching on the TV, it double talks the first time on, this made me wonder if I have connected up wrongly. Thank you
ОтветитьJust match exact spot and direction of old LNB face. I've replaced with coat hanger as a bracket with no problem.
ОтветитьGood info I got one of these outta the trash this weekend
Ответитьcan I use the direct tv lnb on the the slim line direct tv dish to get free tv using another satelitte with a GT media receiver
ОтветитьBravo. I tried one wide Dish Network and two DirecTV dishes. None made watchable channels. It's better to carve your LNB bracket out of wood or a plastic block than to use tin. I used a digital meter and short cable right at the dish as it was very selective. The dish aiming was very touchy. I gave up on pay dishes. Some are flimsy and too small, period.
ОтветитьHi, Can I use Dish Networks or DirectTV dish for this setup? Thank you!
ОтветитьGood video to show complexities of using a pay TV dish for FTA. Beginners always ask this question. But a brand new 36" FTA dish can be picked up in a major city like Toronto for CDN$119 and be driven home in your car today. It will have shiny new elevation and latitude scales. And a perfect shape. And an LNB holder in exactly the right location. It's hardly worth trying to repurpose a pay TV dish. There are enough challenges for a beginner without complicating the process with a pay TV dish. Keep these great videos coming to help educate all about FTA.
ОтветитьI couldn't find the satellite dish that you use in this video. But I found an AMIKO CAMPING SET. It's a small satellite dish (38 cm or 15 inch) and it has all accessory (for mounting on a pole, rooftop, truck, camping van). And an RT Inverto LNB (one output) . I can receive multiple satellites: Thor 1 West, HotBird 13 East, Astra 19.2 West, Astra 23.5 East Astra 28.2 East, Astra 31.5 East Your dish would work well in Europe. But it only scans the strong transponders. For example on HotBird 13 East I could receive 70% of transponders. You need a 60 cm dish to receive all transponder. On Astra 19.2 East it was better I could receive almost 90% of channels. The downside is when it rains I get no channels. It is challenging but fun to play with small satellite dishes.
Ответитьa ball head mount camera mount works good with experimenting
ОтветитьI've had one of them brackets. I've got a 18" dish to work to get the 4 channel nbc mux on 72 what
Ответитьhello friend, this clamp serves me for a 1.20 meter antenna brand channel master greetings and blessings.
ОтветитьGreat video showing how to replace bad lnb on shaw dishes interesting and educationally we need more of this type of video
ОтветитьDefinitely a interesting video, did you find the new lnb Perform as well as the Shaw one once you had it tuned in.
ОтветитьDo you set the skew to 0 with that lnb?
ОтветитьYou didn't talk about the vertical inclination (rotation around a horizontal axis) of the LNB. This position is also critical in order to "illuminate" the dish as much as possible. This adapter has no possibility to do this adjustment.
ОтветитьGreat video !
