2012 Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG with the 6.0L BITURBO V12 producing 603 bhp

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class, sometimes colloquially called the G-Wagen (as an abbreviation of Geländewagen) is a four-wheel drive automobile manufactured by Magna Steyr (formerly Steyr-Daimler-Puch) in Austria and sold by Mercedes-Benz. Originally developed as a military off-roader, later more luxurious models were added to the line. In certain markets, it was sold under the Puch name as Puch G until 2000.

The G-Wagen is characterised by its boxy styling and body-on-frame construction. It uses three fully locking differentials, one of the few passenger car vehicles to have such a feature.
Despite the introduction of an intended replacement, the unibody SUV Mercedes-Benz GL-Class in 2006, the G-Class is still in production and is one of the longest-produced vehicles in Daimler's history, with a span of 43 years. Only the Unimog surpasses it. In 2018, Mercedes-Benz launched a technically new second generation, still with only minor design changes. The 400,000th unit was built on 4 December 2020.

The G 65 AMG V12, built in 2012, demonstrated the feasibility of installing a V12 engine in the G-Class. The new G 65 AMG was introduced at the same time as the G 63 AMG, making the G 65 AMG the third passenger SUV to have a V12 engine with Lamborghini LM002 (built from 1986 to 1993) being the first one. G 65 AMG was equipped as the G 63 AMG other than minor cosmetic differences with V12 BITURBO badges on the front fenders/wings, floor mats and seat backs.

The example which we are presenting here is a lovely 2012 model with only 89.000 kms on the clock, she has barely run it for a Mercedes-Benz… She was ordered brand new in Qatar, where she has spent most of her life. A few years ago, she was imported back into Germany before she was acquired by a G-Class collector here in Belgium. Her registration is still German.

As you can notice, she has been given an upgraded look of the current G-Class, which suits her quite well. Her facelift and original shade Designo Night Black Magno (matt paint) makes her stand out amongst other G65 AMG’s. Also her wheels were upgraded to complete the look.

Inside you will find a plush Designo Red Leather interior with heated and ventilated seats, alcantara headliner, leather-clad dashboard, Harman Kardon surround sound, heated steering wheel, heated windshield, etc. Every luxury item has been optioned when the first owner ordered her. Even the rear passengers can enjoy movies on the rear TV screens. Driving her is not only a pleasure thanks to that wonderful V12 engine but also thanks to the fact that she comes with park assist, rear-view camera, blind spot assistant, etc. She has been converted to a light truck, meaning the rear seats have been removed. Currently there is a case built in to hold hunting rifles but the rear seats are also present with the vehicle. Mechanically she is ready for many more fun miles. Whether it being to the supermarket or the muddiest off-road track.

In summary, this 2012 G65 AMG is a great performance off-roader that is sure to provide many years of driving pleasure. Don't miss your chance to own her and experience the thrill of driving a truly wonderful piece of Mercedes-Benz and AMG history. Contact us today to schedule a test drive and see for yourself.
