OnePlus 5T Review – Now in WHITE

Anyone else still using their OnePlus 5T? Mine's still going strong running LineageOS.

I'm a little late, it's damn near 2023, but I'm bummed LTT decided to say the specs were like any other high end phone. OP clocked the 835 higher than a lot of OEM's, like Samsung and Google. They gave the white model of the 5t 8gb of ram only, which is still a lot of ram going into 2023. Most high end phones in 2017 had 4-6 gb of ram. Apple's $1,500 phone in early 2023 only has 6gb.

still using it in 2020, and this phone still gets incremental updates unlike samsungs

Regarding the headphone jack situation. I have seen some video clips of Linus's work environment, and some are OSHA-cringe worhty. Why has he not switched to wireless yet? (Not airpods, but at least some OP Bullets Wireless)

What are you saying... The OnePlus 5T is considered the phone with the fastest face unlock. You didnt mention dash charging and that it IS water resistant but just not certified. Bad review

found one of those 3.5mm adapters in a car parking lot yesterday. Another disappointed person that can't jam out until they buy a replacement adapter for £7. Sux.

Bought one of these today. Been looking at budget phones for weeks and today impulse bought a 5t. Happy so far.

Except now you can't even by the phone anymore, so what good is it?

Well the majority of people don't upgrade their phone every year. Coming from an iPhone six, I didn't really notice the lack of water resistance anyway.

it is like he is getting paid to talk trash about the oneplus 5t. The phone is a master in what he can do in comparison with all the others that yeah are a little better maybe, but way to expensive.

You actually give a comment stating that OnePlus' facial unlock is NOT as good as iPhone's or Samsung's? That's just a blatant lie, Linus. It was tested and proven it was faster and better than most if not all facial unlocking technologies out there.

I can't seem to find a good replacement for my 950 XL currently, and the 5T is looking nice. I don't want to settle for a device without an SD card slot if I can help it, but I may have to given how nice the phone seems. My only gripe about it is they still only have usb-C 2.0 not 3.0. Thankfully it still has the headphone jack, but ffs OnePlus, get to 3.0 already...

This is the 3rd review I've seen of this phone and both the other reviwers showed on camera that the face ID was SUPERFAST, up to 5-10 times faster then Apples solution.
If you point the screen at your face before you press the button on the side you'll already be logged in when the screen comes on 0,5 seconds later. You won't even be showed the log-in screen. Check out Unboxing Therapys or Marques Brownlee who caught this on camera very clearly.

Face ID isn't as good as apple Lol its waayyyy faster, and i have seen videos of iphone fooled by indentical twin bt not the case with one plus..

The price is unbeatable!
