Thanks for the helpful vid!
In my case, I've tried one coach who is great at teaching acting, but I've really been wanting to learn more about voice control, warm ups, and range. I was feeling guilty about wanting to pursue other teachers.
Silly me! I srsly doubt he'd hold it against me.

Now I'm going to try working with a singing teacher, one who does a lot of work with breathing techniques, warm ups, etc...
I'm nervous but also looking forward to it!

Thank you again for making this vid so that all of us noobs know not to feel guilty about doing something that should be totally obvious.

Thank you Gabrielle for the video! Your words were encouraging and helpful! I’m learned a little more about picking the right acting coach that works with me. Do you think finding an acting coach with a similar personality to the person who is searching could be helpful? That came to mind as I watched and listened to your video. Thank you!

The cat is all that matters.
THAT being said, I need a direction. Your straightforward common sense speaks to me.

Adore you. Adore your voice. Adore your hair.
Either in that order or equally 🤷🏼‍♀️

The ad that played before the video was kinda clickbaity selling an ebook on how "easy" VO work can be. Seems like everybody's an expert on advice for newbies.

First.. LOVE your cat. Second.. I too HATE audiobooks. I dabbled many years ago and quickly UNdabbled. LOL. and Last.. your advice is on point. Years ago I had a voice coach who is amazing at what they do (don't want to name as he or she) and I learned a lot. But I would legit have anxiety days before a session. Now in retrospect.. it probably wasn't a good fit for me.

Do I email you for questions? You are the one person I've seen who works in the genre I most want to pursue. I was a dj year's ago and went to broadcasting school, etc. I've gone through training since last June on specifically voiceovers but I haven't seen anyone in my current instruction path who does radio (besides one of the higher ups). It's a credible school and the training is on par, but. I want to talk with you.
