Amazing movie. Astounding opening sequence that uses Chaiyya Chaiyya and let's face it you can't go wrong with wonderful actors like Denzel Washington and Clive Owen 😀👍 How did Dalton Russell find out about the Nazi connection and the safe deposit box? No, I don't know either cos it was never explained but it was still a brilliant movie. Absolutely loved it.

I was working as an usher in a movie theater when this movie came out.
I remember the intro completely catching me off-guard and making me stay for 30' in the theater before remembering I had other tasks to accomplish. Got yelled at by my boss that day but came back to see the whole movie on my day off.
From the trailers it seemed like a basic heist movie, but man! I was in for a whole different ride! I didn't even knew that Spike Lee directed it.
Great performances and plot, gorgeous photography by Matthieu Libatique, incredible supporting roles (even the smaller roles are unforgettable, shedding some positivelight on N-Y's cultural diversity) and clever twist.
One of my favorite movies.
