The amazing thing is how there really is no difference to corp and show style drumming the soul and feel is right there for me.

ОтветитьAwesome! Can you point me to a transcription on your video?
ОтветитьExcellent!!!
ОтветитьAbsolutely fantastic. Wow.
ОтветитьIts clean its accurate pin point definition. I like it and so do a million drummers out there who understand how well this sounds. Never ever under estimate the loving sound of clean drumming. No electric sounds here pure pure pure drumming thank you
ОтветитьI love this sound
ОтветитьWonderful !!
ОтветитьNice to this played correctly, as intended.
It's amazing how much confusion there seems to be these days surrounding this classic composition, its origin, and the way it's supposed to sound (especially the "unwritten" dynamics that are often overlooked). Excellent work.
This is fantastic!!

Ответитьlove this !
ОтветитьNice!
ОтветитьI'd never heard a version with the extra tap on the end. Not too big of a fan. Very nice playing, though.
ОтветитьThis is how they used to transmit orders in the heat of battle, by special drum tattoos. Couldn't hear voices for all the noise, but a drum beat carries a long way. So doesn't a bugle, or fife. And it's easier to train a man to react mindlessly to a certainly pattern of noise than the voice of an officer, which can vary from person to person. That's why they tend to deliver orders in a distinct, set manner. Music is a very old method of command communication in battle.
Ответитьbadass
ОтветитьAnd the middle part sounds like the intro to Legend of the One Eyed Sailor.
Ответитьhow awesome... :D
Ответитьgreat rhythm Mark!

ОтветитьDrumcorps-fife and bugle
Ответить@CJCbassman09 i wasnt talking about rudimental drumming i was talking about his technique which i assumed you were referring to.
Ответить@TheDragonmaster18 dude im in a fife and drum corps. Rudimental drumming is found A LOT in the Northeast. So it doesnt exist only in black college drumlines. i NO HOW to play the bass drum And the snare drum. the point of asking to lower the drum is because he will play in the center, getting a better tone out of the head. Look up The Connecticut Patriots fife and drum corps. They are the best senior corps in the Northeast.
Ответить@CJCbassman09 dude this is how the bass drum was origionally played. in the description it says this is anceint rudimental drumming. although this style of drumming still exsits today but only in black college drumlines. look up southern university's drumline. they play their drums exactly the way these guys in the vid just played them
Ответитьtell your bass drummer to either raise his hands up towards the center of the head or lower the damn thing. thanks :D
ОтветитьI don't know about the drum sound (don't bother, I'm sure it's a historically accurate...something), but nice playing. Cheers.
Ответить@JumpShotDude is a variation off of Crazy Army.
Ответить@ryan9312 oh cool, i had no idea. Im glad it wasn't just me imaging it haha
ОтветитьAm I the only person who was reminded of Santa Clara Vanguard's "Electric Wheelchair" by this?

Ответитьbass drummers a little scaryyyy..
ОтветитьNv mind I found the sheet music But how'd u do the sort of 5 stroke roll really fast? Is it llrrr because I tried that and that's kinda hard to play Or is it lrllr because a paradiddle would make sense Or it could be lllrr which isn't bad either What is it??!!!!
ОтветитьThose videos are great Mark !!
Ответитьi got the sheet music from a fife and drum website but i dont think its the whole thing, whered you get the sheet music?
