The US is one of the most dangerous places there are, yet where is the bad publicity? here they will kill you for no reason; if your skin color or religion bothers them. I can't stand the double standards.

I just came from Cancun last week. I saw them walking on the Beach. I wasn’t nervous. Just keep your eyes open and enjoy your vacation.

If I need to fear violence and shootings, I can stay home in the U.S. and experience that. I’m not wasting my money going to Mexico.

Iam in mexico rite now do not fall for this trick, the army, police, and national guard are here to extort the tourist! They always come out during peak season because they know the money is flowing. For your safety record them and avoid them at all cause, they will not help or protect you but set you up with local street gangsters and ask you for money. They are thugs period.

Little do people know that those tourist attractions are only safe because most cartel bosses have properties and money laundering projects there 😂😂

Mexico is a paradise if you have money

Hard pass on travel to Mexico it has half the US population but has more murders by doubles and kidnapping by triple and also the cops barely investigate or find any killers , kidnappers , or criminals, but even other 3rd world countries find the killers & criminals within a matter of days and hold them responsible, but Mexico does not sadly.


Dont get me started on the cops they are the cartels and threaten you with prison if you dont pay them at least in other 3rd world countries i travel they dont do that and if you say no to paying them they let you go but not in Mexico

Reminds me of Egypt when I was there in 2007. They were called "Tourist Police". some were wearing full body armor with sandbag machine gun bunkers positioned around tombs and stuff. Other "tourist police" with AKs minus the body armor walked around putting a hat on a tourists head and try to bully them into giving money. Very alien world to where I was coming from. I was willing to go for a once in a lifetime trip to the remnants of ancient Egypt but I wouldn't go to resort Cancun to get drunk and laid. Plenty of other cesspools in the world. If people think you need military protection you better have a good reason to be there.

I love Mexico. Been there twice. But not anymore. The government has to step up and clean up the criminal mess. I rather stay in USA. Plenty of places to go and visit.

I wish the citizens got this type of protection. Seriously I inow tourists have a lot of money but they wouldn't be there without the locals working there.

I’ve said this before and I’m say it again if the Mexican government doesn’t control this violence and lawlessness. That’s been going on for the past 20 years. Mexico as a nation is done. It’s a beautiful country, got pretty much everything. They just need god government.

Currently in Cancun it depends in which resort you stay.
Don’t go to cheap places or you will encounter bad experiences

Been to Mexico 2 times and both times the cops were the once who extorted money from me , not any cartels . They saw a foreigner driving a rental car (nothing expensive , Nissan and a Chevy) though let me tell this guy he is doing something wrong and I’m gonna hold his license or passport unless he gives me $100 . Negotiated the bribes down both times to like $40 or so but still ridiculous. If the cops are like that I can tell why the businesses get no protection as cartel probably isn’t afraid of cops and the cops are easy to bribe

It sucks that my families country goes through this. I understand people want to travel, but please remain cognizant of what's going on. Last trip I saw almost 100 rich blue eyed college kids acting a fool. Remember where you are. The money and status means nothing down there. It only gives opportunities.

I’ve been to Mexico a number of times… people have no idea how nice is it is there….it’s a shame that I second guess going to certain places because of violence.
