Who thinks the fish look better?
ОтветитьAhhh! Young lily leaves, food for koi. Koi love grubbing about in planters. Hope they survive till next year.
Ответить🎏🎎🇧🇷🇯🇵
Ответитьkoi destroy plants them lillies will need to be caged
ОтветитьThey look alot cleaner .❤😮😊
ОтветитьHey bud any more updates on this one would be good to see how the water has changed
ОтветитьI wouldnt recommend having goldfish and Koi in the same pond. I took pity on 2 goldfish that had out grown their tank & gave them a home in my koi pond, the result was hundreds of koi/goldfish hybrids. The hybrids were all black viewed from above & bronze from the side with the overall appearance being goldfish, they also appear to grow at the same rate as goldfish.
ОтветитьThe pond looked much more natural before and the fish did great hiding, breeding and feeding there. Nature perfectly balanced it out. Now it looks artificial, the fish are constantly under stress because they can't hide from predators and need artificial feeding.
Ответитьoh those fish look so much better!
ОтветитьI have no interest in fish but this has been so fascinating and interesting I will look at them in a different way now!
ОтветитьImagine a deck built beside this pond.
Ответитьit dosent seem any clearer?
ОтветитьWill the water ever become less green?
ОтветитьNew subscriber after watching these two videos. I found them not only interesting, but also very calming and soothing. I'm definitely hoping you are able to do more of these transformation videos!
ОтветитьThe fish look great, although I can’t help thinking they are more visible to passing herons now. It will be lovely when the plant life gets established.
ОтветитьIf I'd moved in to a place with a pond like that, I'd have retrofitted a couple of bottom drains and a wall mounted skimmer, had it fibreglassed, and changed the filters out for a combination drum and bio chamber, with twin 55w or even 110w uv's. I'd probably have rearranged the returns to have a couple running underwater and the rest through a wall mounted blade or maybe a shower stack. Definitely a more expensive solution, but the water quality would be massively improved.
ОтветитьThe fish will happily nibble on the moss on the sides, that's what they lived on when the pond was abandoned. I hope the owners educate themselves on basic maintenance of their pond, it really is pretty easy. With the proper plants it can be completely self sustaining, though that is a lot of fish. After all, it was abandoned and still thrived. Great job getting it back up and properly running.
ОтветитьSome bundles of barley straw will kill off all the algae.
ОтветитьA neighbour was taking his bath out and I asked if I could have it, some time after he asked if I fitted the bath and I said no and told him to take a look at it over the garden wall I had made a pond out of it. They are a great way of making a pond out of because when cleaning them it's so easy it did well I even had fish breed in it.
ОтветитьSo glad i found the channel. Great work. Happy fish now. Picked up some great advice from your vids. Thank you 😊
ОтветитьPond and fish look greatxxxxxx
ОтветитьWhy are there no plants, I have plants in my pond and they don`t turn the water green, I thought you would add oxygenator plants. Fish are sentient and should have a natural habitat and be able to swim amid the plants etc..
ОтветитьDoesn't the amount of fish and over feeding Contribute to algae pro lems along the sunlight
ОтветитьI would love to make a swimming pond. If I had something this size, I would want to swim with the fish
ОтветитьMy new Lili's get eaten as soon as a leaf arrives on the surface :(
ОтветитьWow, beautiful!
ОтветитьHow come you couldn't strip the algae .. and THEN.. reseal the 🧱? That would have been the professional thing to do. As this would have INCREASED the longevity and DECREASED the maintenance schedule.
Ответитьaeration also prevents things from debris settling on the bottom, fish love it too.
ОтветитьWill the skimmer or fish damage the plants
Ответить"…they need a lot of sunlight [the lilies]"
… while the place/terrace before the pond is covered in green which means it’s constantly wet bc. it’s shadowy (trees/house).
you can tell how the fish are feeding that they get a visit from a heron far to skitty or its maybe they are not used to the clearer water seeing you as a threat fish will only act like this if you do not feed them regular and not seeing you or heron visiting they are not competing for food that is not why they grab and run
ОтветитьLoads better, for some reason I was unsubscribed from your channel. So I have only just found this video and subscribed again.
A great improvement on the pond mate.
how is that pond sealed?
ОтветитьWhat did the fish eat while they were abandoned? yes, I have no idea about anything regarding koi ponds. 😂
ОтветитьI want to know how they survived that long... Did someone feed them after the owner moved out?
ОтветитьThat skimmer had to be the best investment to manage that constant leaf drop. I believe the fish started looking better the first day, now they're getting downright interesting.
ОтветитьKoi are such jumpers. Will this pond have this possibility?
ОтветитьPlease do regular updates. Im wondering if these fish jave more color, but lost it due to the horrible environment.
Its a nice pond. Glad they are fixing it. Were some of the lillies dry? I hope they all grow.
It’s amazing how many survived the gross environment!!! Will the green go away completely to be clearer? Look forward to see more progress!!
ОтветитьI don't know much about fish. What would they have eaten when the pond was abandoned and did you find any dead fish?
ОтветитьWill the fish eventually get their color back
ОтветитьAnxious to go back to earlier video and see how you got power to that abandoned pond! Yeah i definitely have to go backwards by reading the comments. Confused about having owners & being abandoned.
Whatever is happening here you're obviously making it far better than it was! Bless you and your partner for doing this ❤
I bet if you used a hula hoop you could throw the food into the middle of that and not worry about the skimmer taking the food while its working
ОтветитьThanks for the update! I don’t have a pond or fish but I find your videos really satisfying and informational!
ОтветитьIt's amazing how a fish's health affects its colors
ОтветитьThe fish look so much better. So sad these poor creatures were just abandoned like that for so long.
ОтветитьYou’re doing such amazing work!!! They’re looking happy already 😊❤
ОтветитьI have a suggestion. Place the pump on the opposite side of the pond. Therefore you will be filtering more of the pond in turning the water over
ОтветитьYou should get a circular polariser for your camera, get rid of the reflections when you're trying to film the fish.
Ответить😅😅😅
