How to use the Zoom H1 Handy Recorder

Best tutorial ever on the Zoom H1....good show!

Just got one of these recorders & wanted to know how to use it. Great video.

I have the h1n and it's really annoying to use. I just got it yesterday and it's not easy to hit play it doesn't work like yours does. I think I'm going to return it. It's just not user friendly and not designed well IMHO.

It's a great recorder...but unfortunately the battery drains ,even when turned off? ..
It pisses me off to have the battery at zero when i want to use it....i ask if i have a faulty item,but they tell me it's normal,hmmmmm

This video was a life-saver! I have to record my students' oral exams this coming week. My facilitator showed me how to set things up, record, etc., but I still had questions. I have a Zoom H1, and it has very bad windnoise even with the lo-cut filter on. Also, any handling of the case during recording generates very bad case noise. It's almost unuseable unless it's sitting untouched on top of a soft cloth. This morning, I rubberbanded a merino/wool sock over the microphone end of the recorder, and that helped the windnoise quite a bit, but the case noise is still horrendous.

Do you know how long an H1 can record straight without stopping? Is it the same as a DSLR that can only record up to 30 min. ?

■ Sometihing was not ry clear to me: If I install a mic in H1, I suppose that the the microphone of the H1 will automaticalle go out of service. Case I intalla a lavallier mic. Am I ok?
■ Battery autonomy?
■ Is it poosible to use it wiht extra bettery connected via USB?
