What if I don’t have enough storage and I have to delete a vst or beat ?
ОтветитьI have a problem with exporting my projects as a zip file being blank project or not it says an error occurred in the temporary file. It's so annoying can u pls help
ОтветитьSuuuuper helpful! Especially the first method, but they’re all just as important. Thanks bro 💎🙏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
ОтветитьI was so damn helpless, I remember it happened that my computer crashed and keep on crashing like hell, here is the fix i got: I watched some Bruce Lee scenes, set a punching bag, throwed some punches and side kicks so fast that with all the stress gone into the bag itself..
ОтветитьThe amount of times I've loaded up a project that was fine last time I worked on it and for some unbeknownst reason everything is out of time, missing or freaking out.... It has had me soooo mad I've felt like just giving up on my art. You're so correct about walking away and having a moment lol. Learning how to zip up projects and move them around safely has helped me so much, especially since I reformat my OS every year in a bit of computer spring cleaning. Thank you.
ОтветитьOne question: when you create a project folder later, will it copy everything or replace it? So, do u then have everything twice or only the flp twice but the rest only once?
ОтветитьAs I understand there is no way to backup all projects all at once if I have default settings for FL studio ? My data project is set to AUTO or Im wrong
ОтветитьThank you kind human!
Ответитьit doesn’t give me the option to zip my project
ОтветитьI think I have some very niche questions regarding all this stuff. Is there any way I would be able to talk to you about them? Thank you!
ОтветитьRIP moment I didn't realize that I save the stim's when I decided to backup my project files to my hard drive and then wipe my entire hard drive on my computer little did I know the stems were not backed up 3 years down the drain at least in the audio clips. Day 4 and I could feel my sadness eating away at my soul
ОтветитьI m confused with the user data folder and the project folder. Am I able to recover everything with the project folder or should i save the user data folder also on an external drive?
ОтветитьHey can I get some clarity on how to save the audio to a project folder? So this folder is basically a folder of your own choosing that you could save anywhere? Like could you create a data folder on your external drive and then just save all your projects in that folder? I’m sorry if that question is redundant. I’ve been having trouble with losing files and I really wanna understand a best practice for file management.
ОтветитьSo is zipping a project and saving it on an external hard drive a way to transfer your projects to a new computer?
ОтветитьBut how do I fix a saved file? I have the free version and saved on a full version FLP and I don't know how to get it back.
ОтветитьCan someone help me, I unfortunatley followed this method and now i get an error whenever i try to open the Zipped file saying "*********** must exist... Could not find any FLP Project file in this zipped archive. I unzipped the folder and its all in wav samples? Now i cant open the project.
ОтветитьThanks, I was wondering how to go about this. Very clear
ОтветитьThanku

To me, the zipped loop package seems the best way to back up a project. Can someone please explain why you would use the other options?
ОтветитьAnother updated video on file management would be nice
ОтветитьHEY IF IT SAYS THAT YOUR SAMPLES ARE MISSING IS THERE ANY POSSIBLE WAY TO GAIN IT BACK IF YOU DIDNT MAKE A FILE FOR THEM & HAD THEM SAVE ALL TO YOUR FL STU PROJECT ..... PLEASE HELP
ОтветитьKing.
Ответитьwooo almost to 1M!! :D
💕💕💕
wish I saw this last year. I restored my PC and now I can't open my projects. I get that "sample missing" error. Those are 100 unreleased songs gone!
ОтветитьI'm trying to transfer everything to a new laptop is there a way it will save my presets? On the mixer track or plug-in?
Ответитьnice thank you
ОтветитьI backed JUST my project file up on an external drive thinking I’d be safe… computer hard drive died, I opened the project file on a new computer… and ALL vocal files are erased on every project 😢 those I’m guessing were stored on local computer huh? No way to get them back?
ОтветитьWhen saving/exporting mixer tracks always, always, always save or back them up as a floating-point (32-bit or 64-bit). This saves your audio at a very high quality and if your audio is clipped, you can simply turn it down and rebalance your mix while preserving all of your transients/dynamics. Please don't forget this!
Ответитьthis video was shit
ОтветитьThanks dood, now I know how to migrate my projects from my old toaster 😂 saved my arse
ОтветитьHey! Great video! Just wondering: should I have my flp in my PC and the same flp in a usb drive? Thanks!
ОтветитьI did backup all my old songs from 2018 - 2019, I didn't really set the recording in one project folder or export a zip tho... All I did was adding all the folder that is needed to the google drive sync, so it's quite a mess... but all that matters is I got all the files and if I want I can download them and reorganize them later... (then my laptop died, but all my important stuff is safe :D)
Unfortunately, I lost all my projects from 2020 - Early 2021 because I'm lazy to set up the google drive sync or do a manual backup, pretty sad... But fortunately tho, I already uploaded my songs to the distributor site (I don't normally do this, usually I wait for all the songs for my album to be finished before I upload them). Also, the more fortunate thing is I already backed up my thesis animation project to my external hard drive :D. So I learn from my mistake and I will just make backups every time I make a new project... (And I immediately set up the google drive sync to secure my thesis)
This is old but is this why my old songs that were exported years ago have distortion and glitches added? They were not zipped just exported and sat in a drive just curious
ОтветитьThanks! Do you know when export as a ZIP file all changes (like effects, levels, pan etc) persist in all individual samples or you need to open the flp file?
ОтветитьGreat video. Is there a way that FL projects can automatically back up to the external hard drive instead of having to back them up manually every single time?
Ответитьso. relatable. thank. you.
Ответитьis it posssible to export all projects at once?
ОтветитьI’m new to zipping and unzipping folders funny to say. But I’m wondering if I can leave my extracted files from a project unzipped if I’m extracting the project onto an external hard drive? I’m taking my beats from my old computer via external hard drive onto my new computer and they are currently unzipped. Thanks!
Ответитьyhea I have the same question ...how do I back the entire FL Studio program ...not just music projects and files?
ОтветитьNow I need to buy fl studio to save the projects...What in the hell is this, this tutorial is expired !!!
ОтветитьThank you so much, this really helps sir! :)
Ответитьhow do you save in online file storage??
ОтветитьYou the MVP 😎 Thanks for the clarification. I've been trying to figure this out for the longest
ОтветитьMike, you were sent from heaven to us.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video 🙏🏼 it helps a ton. I just accidentally deleted 56 GB of Data I had and lost all of my vocal samples on all of my unfinished projects from the last 3 years 😅 kind of got smacked in the face by the universe. But now I’m on a fresh start and can go in now knowing how to back up my projects so thank you 🙏🏼 and I believe everything happens for a reason so no time was wasted it’s all part of the journey and we are always growing and getting better every step of the way. It was very stressful letting go of all of that but I have now fully accepted it and I’m ready to recreate these projects even better and start more new chapter with the peace of mind of having back ups 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
ОтветитьCan you do a video on using plugins on an ssd or hard drive
ОтветитьGreat tutorial- I have a question on creating a zipped loop package for the external drive/storage. If I have used slicex and dropped a cut into piano roll, will that still open with the zip or do I need to do another step? Will any elements be missing or am I good to go?
Thank you!
