History Brief: The Berlin Wall Explained

I have always been curious, Soviets and Americans with their allies fought against Nazi Germany so they were together, so my question is, what made them divide Germany/Berlin and go against each other? Anyone can give me info about it? Thank you in advance.

Unity amongst people = strength in numbers. I really hope people remember that. A governments worst fear is the people uniting a taking back their country. I have a experience with Berlin wall as well as dividing about Germany because in 1980 I was in Germany and crossed the wall from West Germany to East Germany. I was in West Germany but my German friends want to visit West Berlin. West Berlin was in East Germany in that period. My experience was from West Germany through East Germany to travel West berlin very emotional, hard and very tuff. Why my passport is not European. Therefore very hard to get entrance visa for East Germany. East Germany immigration was controlled by military personals . They were not friendly and face no smile. After my German friends very long explanation military officer was issued permission to enter East Germany not not allowed getting down from the vehicle on the way. In the restaurant when I drink coffee in East Germany tried to talk their people but they refused to talk with me because everywhere military. I visited again after Germany united. I have seen, German people in very happily. Die besten wunschen an euch alle. Aufwiedersehen.

Was lucky enough to visit Berlin pre and post wall coming down. Was very spooky when the wall was up. Thankfully Berlin is now a completely different place to what it was 30 years ago.

It's crazy how the history of leftist policies is a history of people constantly fleeing from the leftist state. It's rings true even till this day in America. The working class in a once nice state like California are now fleeing from California's progressive policies by moving to less oppressive and more free states. You forgot to mention the 3 secret doors hidden in the wall and how through the ages some west Berliners were snatched and taken through those hidden doors..most were younger citizens usually defacing the western side of the wall.

It's so funny that Liberals try to compare Trump's border wall to the Berlin Wall. Trump's wall is to stop people from sneaking in because they want to work here illegally and Big Business takes advantage of that unfairly to all parties, while the Berlin Wall was to keep people from getting out of their country, a completely different thing. If Americans were sneaking into Mexico because California, say, was too oppressive (it is virtually a socialist state, I live here and I know, so it would make sense actually) then the Wall might be like the Berlin Wall. But it's completely different when you want to stop people from doing something illegal because they can't be bothered with entering legally. And what kind of people would sneak in? People doing something illegal, obviously.

America get this: The destruction of the Berlin Wall has nothing - NOTHING - to do with the USA or Ronald Reagan. There was so much going on in Europe for the decade leading up to the re-unification of Germany. American just jumped in at the end and claimed all the glory - Well, they tried to. Of course, only the Americans were fooled.

The Berlin Wall was put in place to stop people running away from the same failed policies endorsed by today's left and "Democratic Socialists".
