They're right. Airbnb owners are entitled greedy douchebags.

Between Foreign Investment in Residential, and AirBnB (and similar) buyups of Residential R.E., this HAD to effect pricing for buyers looking for a family home....
Hopefully, this will take more of the edge off the R.E. Prices, and create opportunities for families.

If you don't own and operate a short term rental, but you try to act like you know what you're talking about, your opinion means nothing.

Mine is doing great. Booked all the time. I just have a 3 bed 2 bath in Rural Idaho. Everything always balances out. Too much saturation will equal lower prices in ANYTHING not just short term rentals. Simple supply and demand, not rocket science.

Have any Airbnb hosts asked for a government bailout? I'm not aware of this, They have a right to lament the downturn in their business,
As long as they don't expect anyone to come to their assistance and acknowledge that a slowdown in bookings is the risk they assumed
when they went into business, And no one guaranteed them a profit, I don't feel sorry for them, But I am not angry at them either,

Yes, because it's always the rich that's at fault. This channel is comical.

Good, hope they loose lots of money. They made regular rents spike, hotels price spike and less housing available for everyone affecting millions of people.

I live and come from outside the USA.
My goodness! Is this the way AirBNB works? I don't just pay but I have to do chores too? 😃

It's not really over. You just have to pivot to direct booking. Young turks is out of touch with business.

Come on, Cenk. Wall Streeters and other Captains of Business want only the upside of capitalism. If things turn bad, they want bailouts and debt forgiveness.

ABnB is good for families and larger lets. We have too much stock so massive over supply. Also some owners are salty as “it’s a home”. No it’s a mini Hotel

Most of the money on Airbnb is made by 10% of people. Maybe they should talk to them about the housing crisis and why it’s saturated. There is always some people who take a good thing and bleed it dry until it collapse then move on to the next thing. Meanwhile family’s and hard working people are homeless or have to file for bankruptcy.
