I played around with combination locks on several bikes of my friends already 30 years ago. This is nothing new :D
ОтветитьI was able to open a lock that had been closed for 10 years
ОтветитьIntegzas brother! Haha
ОтветитьHow about the combination locks where you need to turn the dial left and right to a certain digit? Also, if a thief has enough time and tools he can open any lock.
Ответитьthieves just cut the cable... no time t F*** around with the combination!!! I've been riding for about 50 years - all I see is cut cables.
Ответитьfor gym wardrobe it ok
ОтветитьFirstly I need to congratulate on what is a truly excellent video. That took you a long time to film and edit! However... for anyone else reading this, this is all about content. These techniques are in no way representative for all combination padlocks. On top of that, the mastery of cracking a lock is not purely learning ABC. The more you do it, the more you get a feel for it, and by making this video and testing tonnes of locks to find the ones he wants to film, Mike will have in fact become quite sensitive to lock cracking mechanisms. If he then went away for a month or two and came back he wouldn't have the same luck without going back through the processes. It's a known thing in lock picking circles. You need to stay current in your "feel".
The point about false gates are valid and ABUS, being perhaps the best lock manufacturer, they add different false systems to their locks. You can't just crack the 165 series and think you can then crack all combination locks or even all ABUS combination locks. It just doesn't work that way.
So to summarise.... Mike has made an amazing video and I love the illustrations of the mechanisms. Amazing. But he's also chosen a few locks which work for the point hes making, therefore making it appear all combination locks can be cracked with these three methods. It's content creation and hes got 6 million views from this video and made $$$$ from it.
Video creation and production 10/10
Validity of content in the real world 3/10
So, What kind of locks should I get?
Ответитьuse paper
Ответитьdont worry the fact that its a cable lock is weaker link then combination. youcan cut them with pocket size tools.
ОтветитьGo to Jesus and repent stop cursing and forgive and stop listening to bad music
ОтветитьBig thanks Mike I have the same lock an Abus 165/40 and I forgot the code just watched your vid and now I have just opened it
Ответитьtysm lol i forgot the combination to my old lock and with this video i found it and opened it lolll
Ответитьi know what im doing after this............................
Ответитьnever realized my friend had "fanarts" in his locker
Ответить50% of bro's subscribers are thieves
ОтветитьBasically safe-cracking technic.
ОтветитьMy friends lock broke and his locker wasn’t opening in school, I just broke it using the rim of the lock and he was shaking and shocked, I am 12
ОтветитьI know that
ОтветитьI was just moving wheels for 40 minutes untio i opened
ОтветитьI opened my friends locker in less than 20 seconds
Ответитьcombination locks don't give a lot of security for a number of reasons. particularly the ones with 4 or less dials because even if it doesn't have easy methods to bypass it, it doesn't take very long to check all the combinations.
Ответить“Useless”? Poor word choice. Some locks are easy-to-pick. Some are hard-to-pick. For a locker, while I’m in the gym, a hard to-pick lock is USEFUL to me.
ОтветитьHi, i lost a combination for an opened lock with 4 numers - could you help me and find the combination?
ОтветитьMight as well just leave my bike unlocked to save time.
ОтветитьThanks for educating the thieves!!!
Ответитьyeah i might be switching locks now
ОтветитьLocks are only made more or less for honest people. There are so many ways around locks generally. You just have to know how.
ОтветитьI had a cheap bike lock when i was a kid and i figured this out because the dials were so floppy they were actually loose when they were on the right number
ОтветитьHow about getting a dial lock like those used on safes?
ОтветитьMy front door has a lock that you have to type in a code to open. Try opening that.
ОтветитьA pad lock is already useless against a theif with bolt cutters.
ОтветитьTry to open a safe
Ответитьor, you know, try every combination possible. I did it in a maths class oncce and wasn't even that hard
ОтветитьWhy nobody knows about notched Decoder
ОтветитьWhat's your point? Yes, they can be cracked, but it takes time, time you might not have in public and remain inconscicuous. It's just meant to deter theft of opportunity. A determined thief just takes a bolt cutter to most of there and "opens" them in 1 second flat. Or just takes the bike without, or with an easier lock.
Also, please try that "listening to the click" at typical places where you lock up bikes. Not quite as easy as in your living room.
I have a master lock just like the last one and I forgot the code
Ответитьif u want an unpickable lock it would probably be the fingerprint ones or the swipe patterns
ОтветитьIn a 3 no lock, there are only a thousand combis which is ez to brute force
ОтветитьGood video. Since I’ll be travelling soon, I read that baggage handlers are able to pick locks and steal. I was a bit dubious about a number lock, but if it takes a while to open, then the thief will move on to an easier one.
ОтветитьNo, there are much better combination locks.
ОтветитьI learned this in thief simulator
ОтветитьI don't use locks as theft prevention, I use them as theft deterrent. As most people already know, given enough time, anyone can open or break a lock. Whenever I lock my bicycle for example, I try to lock it in an open location with a lot of traffic and just have the lock to slow the theft down so I have a higher chance of stopping it, aswell as the lock makes my bike less of a target then one without. If you're going to steal from me, I'm going to at least give you a challenge, you won't get it without some effort.
ОтветитьLock are there to keep out the honest people...
Ответитьvery helpful🤫🤐😏
ОтветитьThat shouldn't be that easy! Glad I don't ride my bike!
Ответитьtry rotary locks next
