the vibrations is normal, it is recommended to break-in gas two strokes on the airframe so it absorbs the vibration. Like you did is ok because is shaking and that is what you want. Many destroy them during break-in mounting the on a solid engine stand.
The engine will let you know when is past break-in, if transition is a little rough, and has only low and high, still needs some more runs. It will be spitting out excessive amount of black oil when new. Once the piston ring settles, engine will not spit out too much black oil. Keep the oil mix 25:1 to 32:1, do not go any leaner than that, will kill the engine. Some plug-in tachometers will not let the engine start.
Put it on a bicycle.
ОтветитьNice engine, you can also use a chicken stick to start the engine, it's just a small stick so the prop won't strike your hand or fingers, you can make one or buy them, I also like o.s and tiger brand rc motors, they are a little expensive but very reliable too.
ОтветитьCongrats ,you did great, I been flying rc planes for 10 years , and I just got my r c g f 26 cc, and they work great
ОтветитьOnly virgins fly electric only.
ОтветитьHow many comparison beetwen oil n gas, 1000ml gas : 25ml oil?
ОтветитьWhat is the max thrust of the engine
ОтветитьYour tank is upside Down
Ответитьthe engine is super handsome
ОтветитьAwesome, those engine looks so powerful 👍
I put the engine on the table and bolt on it to make test, its more safe and resist to vibration.
Where did you buy it?
ОтветитьDo you have a new coupon?
ОтветитьWell done video ...... also you have a lot of patience. This will go along way to enjoying this hobby.
I just bought a Saito FG-14C four stroke gasoline engine and have to go through the same process. But it is winter here in Ontario Canada so it will have to wait until next Spring. I will follow your steps on the engine mount and the Saito manual for breakin' Cheers and happy flying.
Great presentation
Questions
1. What type of battery did you use for the servo that pulled the throttle? Voltage?
Thank you for posting. I find your video very informative. I intend to purchase my first gas engine soon and this video is really helpful!😃
ОтветитьThank you for posting video ,,
Ответитьcool video . i got a chuckle while watching . to avoid complaints from neighbors , lets move to the park ... to annoy even more people XD
ОтветитьI have 15 cc os engine. By the way what is the maximum thrust of this engine.
ОтветитьHow much noise it produces.
ОтветитьThat is all I use now is the stinger line.
ОтветитьGotta watch those strings hanging down from your hood. Pull your face into prop. May not tickle.
ОтветитьI would not follow this persons precedure. Its dangerious not to have the motor jig anhored solidly and the gas tank was flopping around. Using the drill in this manor would definately damage the prop. There are much better videos on this topic.
ОтветитьHow do you control the speed?
ОтветитьGlow engines are best for rc planes, gas suck also sounds like crap , stink, heavy , expensive,
ОтветитьNever drill out a propeller, it will not be centered. Use a reamer, available at most hobby shops or online.
Ответить加油💪
Ответитьthis is hard to watch seeing him quickly flick the prop with that carb closed
ОтветитьDude I appreciate your effort here, but man this was painful to watch! Anchor that engine on a large stand so you don't need to hold it! I could see you panic when the engine first fired up. This is dangerous man, I definitely don't want to see you getting hurt but you're definitely asking for it!
Ответитьthe music you put on the first watt is it
thanks
Like and sub ... Awsome video bro.
Ответитьnice
Ответитьnice vid but please switch fill/drain tube with the vent, because this way you have set up causes problems like you experienced, have to turn model upside down when filling and draining?? other way would be normal, when you fill/drain through nipple that is connected to a tube inside that goes to the bottom of the tank, and vent line goes to blank nipple in the tank, which brethes inside the top of the tank.... good luck
ОтветитьNicht gut gar nicht gut 😢
ОтветитьGet a bigger propller lol
ОтветитьThey have little rubber sticks to start the engine with use that
ОтветитьDamn! Here I thought I was bad at some basic safety. He’d proved me wrong. 😮
ОтветитьIm sorry mate but that was not only dangerous, but brake in was wrong ,stick to the gliders mate, good luck ,try not to cut ya fingers off.
ОтветитьI agree with the comment below. A freindly ama club would have been much help. No you do not have to break it in as long as you suggest.
ОтветитьWHAT THE STATUS OF THIS ENGINE NOW
ОтветитьI think you did a good job with your first gas engine. Yes, the test stand should be more secure for your safety, but you survived. 👍🏼
ОтветитьI'm sure you are tired of hearing what you did wrong but here are a couple more. (1) check the spark plug Gap before installing into the engine. (2) Typically you need to measure the distance between the firewall and the face of the prop hub before drilling the holes for mounting the engine to the mount. This distance is usually part of the model documentation. If you don't, the prop may hit the cowling if there is one.
ОтветитьProboha,co to je za lempla???s tímhle se chlubí a děla ukázku???vždyť ten lempl nemá ani normální startér!!!!Katastrofa!!
ОтветитьThank you for this video. A very detailed and excellent showcase of this engine. Explained in detail each part. Thank you :)
Ответить$240 is very expensive for such a small motor. Never look up RC engines, find small engines by looking for small engines, or "scooter motor" or something like that. Soon as you say RC the price goes up 10x.
ОтветитьDude you need a better test stand you looking to lose a finger??
ОтветитьHi , what's the fuel , please ? sp98 or 95 for car with 2T oil ? Thanks for video
Ответить2 cycles engine
ОтветитьThis entire video is a classic "What NOT to do" unless you want to risk getting hurt or looking like a fool. Always anchor your test stand so that it doesn't have to be held down by your hands. Never stand to the side engine in the propeller damage path should it break. Never use a damaged wood propeller. Never run an engine for hours on a test stand. Set the high and low needles, pull it off the stand, mount it and break it in in the air. Never run it at the same rpm for more than a minute or two tops during break in. Everyone has to start somewhere but when I see beginners trying to give advice. I cringe because the majority of times it's bad advice and could get someone hurt.
