hmm, I reinstalled Steam, I had to download the game again, but the error is still there.

I did this, deleted Steam and installed it again and then I was able to play but today when I went to play again the error appeared once again, what can I do to resolve it permanently?

this dude is a lier i lost all my game it got uninstalled and still didn't get anything in another way if you wanna try (probably don't do) make sure that your games are in another folder not the steam one. I LOST 170 GB OF GAMES AND GOT NOTHING WHAT A

Hi friend, i did everything i could, still have the problem and even contacted the email, no replies...
HOW TO FIX: the problem I faced was caused by the shader effects I installed, apparently the update after 20 of may or smt, had an issue with any shader whatsoever in the game, you have to delete the re4 folder from steam or whatever platform you use and delete the shaders that you copied into its folder, then reinstall and you should be gucci!
