How to Use Icon Sets with Text Values in Excel

Doesn't work if all the same status, only shows green even if all one status which does not help with my ratio KPIs for first month etc when they should be red not green

What is the formula for comparing the last 2 numbers in a column and shows green or red arrow if the number is more than or less than the current number?

This video is on a great topic but I think it's really important to emphasise that the data validation for the left table comes from the legend (something I spent hours trying to figure out!).

Agree with Alan Freeman - they are not text values they are numbers - can you show us how to do this when we have text values in the cells ? - typically they might be text values that user selected from a data validation list.

Good effort but you're not really using icon sets with text values. You're using icon sets with numeric values, that you're reformatting to look like text.

Ok i found out why mine does not work. Its because it can not use my value's. If i replace my 3.4 with a 1 and my 0.004 with a 0 it works. Is there a Formula i can use to change numbers to text For instance 3.4 = Pressure?

any chance you can make a video showing all from start to finish? i cannot find how to make numbers change to multiple types of text ... for instance you have 1,0,-1 change to text. I want to go from 3.4,0.004 to Pressure,Plastic How can i do this.

I haven't been able to figure out how to get the format cells step to change my project #'s to acknowledge anything but the "complete" tag in the legend. Not sure what I am doing incorrectly.
