Thanks for pointing out the issue with the Sharge sponsor read, we're removing that short portion from this video and we'll reshoot it for future integrations.

Huh, feels like the sort of video where usually there'd be a lot more interaction with the writers/co-hosts, or see more of the build process trial-and-error. Am not sure if that was originally attempted and then things fell apart for some reason, or just choosing to make this a Linus-to-camera video, but personally I prefer the engineering videos to be more about the build process and the people who did that process explaining what they went through instead. The preview image had me excited for another Jank Watercooling With Alex video!

Leica blk360 feels a bit beter scanner(it is not hand held, but u can adjust scanning angle and cut out the usles parts later) and leaser is a tiny bit more precise than photo scanning

Here's an idea for a future project: 3D print a metal tubing that has fins, so you do not need a radiator

Resin printing is awesome. You can see the tubing is faceted all over. That is not a limitation of the printer, that is a limitation of the 3D model they used, being made obvious by how rediculously precise resin printers are.

Fusions Hobby License is utter garbage. Only cloud storage, you can't export than one sheet, only 10 projects at a time... and it's getting more restrictive almost every month. It used to be great not that long ago, but nowadays it's impossible to recommend.

This could have a lot of really exciting applications in mini PC builds where a lack of space hinders water cooling.

This is cool. If you have a small resin printer, you could conceivably print separate tube sections with each end having a male/female end that fit together and glued with resin. Each section can be oriented for best quality.

CNC Kitchen just made a video 2 months ago about brick layer 3d printing. You could apply this concept to this hardline tubing prints as an alternative for resin, see if there's potential there!

Why not look at metal 3D printing to make the radiator as well? (I'm aware that it wouldn't work for the heat plates because of the fin thicknesses) use the space in the case to fill with all and every measure to help the airflow shift heat away.

Hey LInus, you absolutely can print watertight tubing in PETG on a regular 3D printer. I've done a bunch of experiments on this because I can't use resin printers in our apartment. Over extruding the flow rate along with reducing cooling of PETG can give the right amount of 'squish' and stickyness between the layers. Yes, there's a bit of experimentation to get the profile right but on my Artillery Sidewinder X2 bed slinger I can regularly print watertight pipes and other designs. Another technique is to print in PLA and flood fill the interior in slow set low viscosity epoxy but it's a bit finnicky and messy. I've had a lot of fun doing 3D printing for PC interiors. In fact, I've currently got an air cooled modded Y40 on the Hyte subreddit. Marrying 3D printing with PC design could really be a game changer in the modded PC community.

I know it’s weird and I don’t know if possible given pump operating temps but would it be possible to make a liquid LN2 loop as long as the res has a hole to let off the pressure couldn’t you theoretically push liquid lm2 through a copper loop or something ?

It could been done in 3d printer. Not resin. It's about adjusting the printer sittings and temperature. Then you won't have spaces between each layer. Like there is hole. But with proper temp. They will melt together. Especially if you choose the prober distance.

I'm thinking there is no reason your tubing even needs to be round or even smooth on the outside. You could print a flatten oval profile if you needed things to be more compact or to squeeze through a tight gap or you could "skin" the outside of the tubing with some cool geometric pattern or text if you really wanted to.

But the 90° bends are TOO sharp. And the cross-section of the inner tube alters too much in that corner. I'd be even more impressed if you modeled the fluid flow in them and optimized the bends for ideal flow. More gratuitous tech!
