Not gonna lie, that was hot af hearing her speak another language.
ОтветитьWhat an awesome person she is, what an inspiration! So fearless and still kicking ass in her 70s!
ОтветитьGlenn Close has never won an Oscar in her whole acting career, that is insane. She is one of the most respectful and talented actress in Hollywood. Instead, Meryl Streep, has nominated numerous times and won three Oscars. Something really F Up in Hollywood.
ОтветитьWell, it's "Parsi" language ,not Farsi. Just Arabs who don't have "P" letter in their alphabet pronounce it " Farsi " .
The persians speaks Parsi not Farsi.
Persians , Parsi.
MY FAvorite show! Glenn was amazing!
ОтветитьHer Farsi is absolutely garbage though!
ОтветитьIt is the most beautiful language when written to read.
ОтветитьBeing wanted and she is a spy how the hell she walking around with her face open like im here come get me 😂
ОтветитьThis show features many iranian actors who fled the country after the revolution or who were able to immigrate, like the younger actors . Shaun Toub, a Jewish iranian is a good example and he now is American. I wonder how the fascist government of Iran views these actors? Have they canceled their citizenship? Is this show censored in Iran? I know Shoreh Ashgo, who played UN chief Avasalara in the expanse is another such actress as well who fled in the 70s. Sadly we tend to associate people with their governments (anti American sentiment in Mexico was sadly strong when trump was president for example, now it's much improved.)
ОтветитьSadly it's the best way for Iranian culture and language to get out now. Hopefully when the regime goes it'll truly flourish
Ответить"Learning Farsi" is a stretch. The most she learned was a couple of sentences for this scene. And then practiced many times to the point where it sounded more authentic. And of course she has to learn to pronounce a couple of sounds such as "kh" or "gh" that we don't have in English.
ОтветитьWhy would such a talented actress appear with such a low class host.
ОтветитьIts a shame she had to resort to doing israeli hasbara for money
ОтветитьAs an Iranian , although you can certainly tell the accent is not Iranian but still she did a superb job. Speaking Farsi besides the accent , is all about certain facial expression and also other body mannerism that is very apparent in true Iranians , and as Iranians we just recognize other Iranians from a mile away lol
Ответитьnational treasure
ОтветитьColbert should've tried saying something in Farsi too! haha
ОтветитьJust finished season 2 of Tehran. Incredible. Close was brilliant in it by the way.
ОтветитьIn case anyone is wondering, she said "shomaa kheili baanamak hasti" which literally translates to "you are very with-salt" but in farsi, baanamak (literally: with salt) is something cute and funny and adorable. We have two words: baanamak (adj: with salt) and shoor (adj: salty like salty food).
ОтветитьShe looks scary in tehran that i thought she would be a good actor in horror movies
ОтветитьGlenn Close , Besiar Khoob Bazi Kardi A+++
ОтветитьI love her so much ❤❤❤
ОтветитьSHE SHOULD HAVE HER OWN SHOW OF ESPIONAGE LIKE 24.. THEY SHOULD HAVE RECRUIT HER FOR 24 AND TRANSITION TO THE MAIN LEAD AFTER BAUER LEFT
Ответитьwould you please stop these types of misleading orientations about other countries in the media?
ОтветитьAs an Iranian who lives in Tehran
I say her accent isn’t good 🙂
But i appreciate the effort
They could use real Musad agents in this series
They are good actors and fluent in Persian 🤷🏻♂️😂😂
Watched episode 6 on Sunday night and that has to be the best episode to date! I had 3 cups of tea in silence just getting my mind through all the events, twists and turns! 😂
Amazing series, well done!
You say "farsi" instead of "Persian"? Dont know the difference between international and local name?
Do you call Egypt "Al_mesr"?
She did good its heard language
ОтветитьEven though "Tehran" is The Antagonist in This Series; i Absolutely Love & Support it!
The Action, Drama & Politics and All... From Tehran, Love & Respect...
Great series. Having taken the Emmy award justifically.
ОтветитьBravo my favorite series
ОтветитьAs an Iranian, I am very sad. That someone learns our language to act in a film that is against Iranians and the Iranian nation. Unfortunately, they make a lot of misleading films about Iran, such as 300.
ОтветитьThis series is kinda dumb propagandaish but I didn't expect anymore
ОтветитьI love Persian language and Iranian people history culture nation everything is always fascinating. Im glad Israeli producers are not jealous like americans and try to mock this wonderful historic rich nation. 🇮🇷♥️
ОтветитьStop demonizing Iran which they like to be called PERSIA. The more you learn about the people the more similarities you will find with them far more than in any other country. I have always seen the people and the core way of life is there to be strongly UK-US based with a dash of French. Just cuz you don't like the rulers you can't hate the oppressed. After all, Persia is the cradle of Civilization. And just so you know, the sanctions are killing children and ordinary decent folk back there. Literary killing them and leaving the target unhurt. Negative Karma of 80+ million on average, ordinary people are looming over those who have RE-pressed them with sanctions. Last I heard a week ago was that egg is now more expensive than chicken, you can imagine the rest. I wish the relationship would be open just like the good old days. They were and can be our greatest Ally. Why are we missing that?
ОтветитьI can't believe she made a movie against iran!
ОтветитьThat was fantastic 👌 10 out of 10 🌺 100% 👌🌺 A+🌺 👏👏👏
ОтветитьNo thought here.
ОтветитьI watched episode 1. Your Persian accent was worse than I thought. bad and unpleasant. Sometimes I didnt even understand your dialogue
Ответить😭💝💎
ОтветитьGlenn Close is so charming, so delightful!
ОтветитьStill nothing on the Sunset Boulevard musical movie? :(
ОтветитьWhy did she cover her eyes during the clip?
ОтветитьI am BLOWN AWAY that "The World According to Garp" was her FIRST MOVIE!!???!!!!
ОтветитьGod loves you so much that He sent His Holy Son Jesus from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins, and to be put into a tomb 3 days and rise from the dead the third day, and He (Jesus) went back up to heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, and unbelieving, & abominable, and murderers, and immoral persons & sorcerers and idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent.
ОтветитьA series that did not tarnish the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in And do not reveal the main essence of this terrorist group to everyone this will not have much value for us Iranians.
ОтветитьI don't know much about this actress, she seems very talented, but I love both the Persian and the Jewish peoples, their rich cultures and wonderful histories! May the ancient fire of their friendship burn forever on, now and for all eternity! And please watch Tehran, both seasons, I strongly recommend this show! :)
Ответитьthe islamic regime in iran is a fascist dictatorship with anti human rights laws and values. i wish the best for the people of Israel and iran.
ОтветитьThis is why l appreciate Mr Colbert...we've just watched a honest go between by people who could be snobbish or fake..but l really felt that we were looking at 2 people who live in another dimension than me but have kept their feet solidly on ground..which is after all..normal..l grew up with Johnny Carson...your better Colbert...thanks..
ОтветитьNo idea why she’s in this show, she’s a great actor, but was way out of place in this.
