Yes the instructions are crap so we are lucky we found your video, but mine will not update the firmware, it just keeps saying Failed power on the device again, but what device? my laptop or do they mean unplug and plug in the USB device again.

my usb wont power on while trying to update, any help?

Thanks for posting this video, your explanation was la lifesaver for setting up this device and getting this program to run.. The instructions with the USB blinker were very confusing and the program instructions were less that clear as to how to proceed. Once again thank you for your time and talent in making this video.

there's no com3 for me in vLinkerFWupdater. What do i do?

Really really really appreciate your video. I would be likely be in a padded cell somewhere had I not found this. You should invoice FORscan for doing what they should have done.

I tried everything I could find, including this video. Nothing helped (Windows 10). Then I uninstalled drivers for vlinker (from device manager) and it worked. What happened, I don't know.

once you receive your vlink usb do they give you a licence or registration number to register your vlinker usb device so you can download the drivers and firmware for it? it wont just let me download these drivers i noticed

While it is installing on your video in the output window it says to

"Change the baud rate to 2Mbps" Is that some thing i should do? as it said it on mine too.

Thank you so much sir. I bought this scanner off Amazon and downloaded forescan thinking that’s all I needed. Went to hookup to a f350 and got the no driver found and was looking everywhere to resolve the issue. This was super easy and very clear. Thanks again 🙏🏽

Thank you for your helpful video. Something I wasted a ton of time on (until I started digging through the Amazon reviews for the vLinker) is it DOES NOT WORK ON USB 3.0. If you have a newer computer, the firmware update will not work because the computer does not recognize the vLinker. The workaround is if you have an old USB 2.0 hub lying around (I had to dig through my stash of computer crap I hadn't used in 15 years) a computer with USB 3.0 will recognize it if patched through the hub.

I did this originally and it worked perfect but now I’m getting no adapter round. When I’m trying to update it says it’s failed please power on the device again does anyone have any idea why ?
