I've never played path of exile can someone explain why they'd release such a huge update to the first game with the second one on the way?

Hopefully enough is different and fun for cohh to be interested in a long playthrough. I love his poe playthroughs and 2 can't come out fast enough but hopefully this league will be great.

ARPGs are only fun for the first playthrough.
It's not fun doing the same thing over and over again every season with very little content.

Just like LaD:IW became the dondoko game so too does path of exile

I want to start with PoE too but the reviews on steam somehow "destroy" it for me. Did PoE really became that bad regarding loot and elite mobs etc.?
