John Mayer is so authentic and comprehensive. He makes interviewers jobs easy. I love it. I love him

What people don’t realize is that when Mayer is rambling on while speaking it’s because he’s trying to present the point he’s making but he tends to, not be to quite grasp exactly how to explain it. For example he does the exact same thing with his guitar playing trying to play the write thing he’s hearing in his head to end the solo.

I believe the punch from the amp, or the tone John is talking about, is similar to what many brands are known for. One that comes to mind is the Mesa Boogie. A little too much talking and not enough playing. Of course, it would be helpful if John had the drummer and maybe the bass player up there with him. Nice playing, but next time, bring the band.

I thought it was the poor audio quality that made this sound bad but after watching 4 other videos this sounds like a shitty Fender amp to me.

BB King had it figured out a long time ago less is more. If its to busy its like traffic I don’t want to be there. His talent is undeniable but some time it’s to busy, knowing every note doesn’t mean We want to hear them.

One thing I found really interesting about this video was that John Mayer, who is an incredible guitar player, was adjusting the guitar amplifier's controls PRS can't help himself and to get involved with twiddling the knobs on the amp, with no idea of what adjustment John Mayer wanted or why he making the change. PRS, yes you make amazing guitars but leave the playing to the players, John Mayer is on top of that.
