would love a game mode or dungeon where all f2p and whales have same set of stats and artifacts and weapons to defeat the level...basically focusing on skill of player

Re: ingame earnable 5* weapons. I absolutely agree that there should be SOME type of ingame earnable option. I think that Guild Wars 2 legendary items could be a good example to point at for letting players gradually work toward an awesome thing over a long period. They have starter/precursor items that you craft and progressively upgrade and upgrading them can require things from esoteric world quests/exploration, to achievement hunting, to the always reliable material farming. This gives you something to use as you progressively work towards the ultimate form of the item, which can take several hundred hours (or more) to finally finish.

As far as adding existing standard banner 5* weapons to the world or nerfing them, I feel like there is a veeeeery fine line that they try to walk when it comes to "making something that could have cost thousands of dollars available ingame" and I'm not entirely sure where that line is. I suspect the player experience they fear goes something like "shit, I dropped $XXX on <weapon> but I could have waited and earned one ingame? Well now I'll have to think twice before ever wishing on a weapon again." Which is a bit gross and violently anti-consumer that somebody could be in that position in the first place, but I can at least see the logic. Granted, as a counterpoint, 4* characters are impossible to guarantee which means that they could theoretically cost infinite money but we still get 4* characters through events sometimes so who knows. And when it comes to nerfing, the moment they meaningfully nerf anything that required resources, whether ingame materials or wishes, they implicitly signal "the things you spend on are not guaranteed to retain their current value" which is potentially dangerous for a player's willingness to spend their time/money on acquiring/building . . . . anything. "Don't wish on this new character, their kit is way too good and will probably get a nerf soon." Don't know how they would recover from something like that. Personally, I think they should be a bit more liberal with buffing things, but I wonder if the fear is similar: "wait, they buffed the Pasta Polearm? If I had known that would happen, I wouldn't have wished for the Celery Sword!" because, frustratingly, at the end of the day, their number one objective is to keep people wishing.

I find it really funny that he showed Altera during the 'characters who could've been a 3* by today's standards' but after her buffs she's actually a really competent ssr now

Remember "world level"? You know, that one mechanic that was relevant for the 1st month of playing then never again? Why not add new world levels? It increases each 5 AR, but stop at 8 with 50 AR, why?

Just add 2 new levels, WL 9 at 55 and 10 at 60, with WL 10 making enemies in the overworld as strong as floor 12 in abyss. Also increase the rewards you get for spending resins.

This not only would add some semblance of challenge to the overworld, but also diminish the absurd grind of the game overall.

Make a long term quest to get a specific 5 star weapon. This way, people would also start playing their game for hours, which could perhaps profit them

ftp here, genshin is super easy outside of abyss. so easy that I would never be able to convince myself that a weapon is worth getting over a character. one is a character that I like and changes how I play the game, the other is s bigger stat stick. I like how star rail actually gives me a method for eventually acquiring one of my choice after Ive done enough pulls.

For the infinity playable content they could make something similar to the spiral but instead of the time limited challenges for the rewards it could be based on survivability, the more rounds you could survive defining your rewards. What could help making healing more attractive even for the people with more high end artifacts if only for the challenge.

I never thought about the 5* weapons being that much of upgrades to characters because most content creators say it's not worth pulling for them, but it would explain how Tighnari became one of my strongest DPS characters, ahead of ones I'd invested in for months more, around the same time I first pulled the Amos Bow.

They need to add more 4 stars to Paimon's bargains. There are just too many of them now, and the only anemo character you get is the traveler. Sucrose should have been in Paimon's bargains from the beginning.

Anxiety lmao you know what gives me anxiety? When I smack a lvl 100 mob in abyss and I notice I didn't even dent his hp bar and I have a limited time to down it. I dont think they listen to the community, no matter how many surveys they throw at us

One thing I think would be nice is a character trade in. For example I have a c6 Dori that I am never gonna use, but if I had the opportunity to trade her in for say Kirara then the math would go as follows.
C0: equal trade
C1-5: C1 of new trade
C6: C2 of new trade
Just something like that I think would be a cool system so F2P players won't be stuck with a character they won't use when they were trying to pull for one they wanted. Same system could b used for weapons too, only they'd have to be 4-5 stars for trade ability.

"DESPRATELY" starts of good with artifacts which are allright the way they are u dont build EVERY charakter as a person playing a long time i couldnt make my charakters better exept pay money for them i also wouldnt have anything to spent resin on
as ar 60 i get mora for everything and i cant get enough charakters to spent the xp books boss material
u may have bad luck and i agree a slight change could be usefull but only like in honkai starrail where u can make single artifacts less rng i would be fine if that would be no rng too but it should be very limited
having artifacts rotate sounds garbage to me Oh i got [character] can i get artifacts now. no they are there tomorow
damn dont have time tomorrow need to wait 3 days untill i can try to use her

standard banner charakters u wouldnt want them anyways since they are weak compared to even 4 stars give them a geo unit like albedo or navia when she comes out and problem solved for everyone exept whales

conclusion why should mihoyo create content which only a shiver of players would enjoy and which would cost money to be finalized
a pvp mode which isnt something like hide and seek is a nogo it would instantly make genshin pay to win
even if its just "Gaining more experience with a charakter"

good ideas though slowly gaining shards to craft a standart 5 star weapon similar to honkai starrail another weekly gamemode like simulated universe in honkai is fine too even though i probably would make it more avalible with autoplay or something so ppl dont have to consistently play that but more occasionally give single inputs

Mihoyo literally can't put limited characters on the standard banner. Only if they announce it before their release. It's some chinese business law, since it would be unfair to the people who had to get them from the limited offer

Honestly a good way to implement free 5-star weapons is a rare drop from a weekly boss, such as Dvalin dropping Skyward weapons, Borealis dropping Wolves gravestone, and Azdaha dropping Vortex Vanquisher the other Golden Majesty weapons mentioned it the video.

The very first thing I would do is make preset builds for the Traveler and each of his elements. Switching between elements for the Traveler sucks balls because you have to also change his artifacts. He's the main character he shouldn't be the single most annoying character to play when it comes to his core mechanic.
The next thing I would do is make it possible to reroll artifact substats at the cost of mora or primogems. The artifact grind is overly obnoxious. We all know that.
I would fix the battle pass so that it has another higher priced option, with the reward of a constellation for a character you already have that you choose from a list of 4 stars and standard banner 5 stars or a standard banner 5 or 4 star weapon refinement material that you get to choose. Make it so you have to decide one or the other. It would slow progression to 1 of these things a month while having an ever growing pool.
The next thing I would do is add in an arena with arena rewards that are worth the investment. No time limits, single combatant combat. I know this goes against the party structure of the game but that is the point. Every level nets rewards, starting off with small basics and ending in a crown of insight. Rewards refresh every new character chosen. This way you don't have to artificially inflate difficulty and the difficulty of only using a single character means that it will not be sped through like other content.
The last thing I would do is create new special chests that contain high level rewards: universal weapon refinement material, crown of insight, artifact reroll ticket, universal constellation upgrade, and universal talent up +1 material. I would hide 5, each containing one of these items per region. Having chests that actually give you something worthwhile makes an open world more exciting. You could have them tied to some of these obnoxiously long chain quests that take forever to do or as a reward for a persistant mini game in the area.

I'd love a way to recharge resin during regular gameplay, like after completing your daily commissions you just get infinite commissions all over the world but they only reward 5 resin.

It would be nice to have a banner with all the previous characters in it. Let’s say after you pull 2 or 3 five star characters you can pick ANY of the 5 star characters guaranteed to pull next. This way players can decide and plan about their primos, some can try their luck on the “standard” banner some can try to get the event banner. Also weapon banner pity should be 30-40 at most and without a 3rd pull guarantee. Weapons are a pain in the butt to get and it isn’t even funny at this point. You have 60 primos a day if you’re a f2p player and after you finish all the content there are no other ways to obtain primo or pulls other than spending money on the game. Mihoyo should at least give us 160 primos a day with quests, challenges etc. that way we can pull 30 wishes in a month. Which means in 3 months you can get a 5 star which sounds reasonable to me.

Every single 4 and 5 star should be in the standard banner. The standard banner should be there for people to try their luck on which 5 star they could pull. Completely randomized. While the limited time banners should be limited time “guarantee” for specific characters.

I really do think that the best way to make genshin have more hours of gameplay is simply by making artefact domains free of restin

Because than people will grind there for 10 hours easily and since you have so many characters and since there is always a better Artifact and since it’s really rare to get a good one it will help people who want to grind those domain for fun as much as they want


Another idea is to use the damb fishing thing that no one does after getting the catch to r5 and do so that you can sell rare fishes to the fish Guild and make mora from it so you could get mora without wasting restin and you could grind all day fishing to get a lot of mora

Wtf, they need to take away dailies, not add more, lol. Commissions take 10 minutes? Yeah, idk what commissions you are getting. They need to not make playing their game a job to do everyday. Maybe change the daily grind to weekly. My two biggest requests from Genshin is to:
1. Make patch releases 8 weeks instead of 6 weeks. Normal people have lives and other games they want to play. 6 weeks is just stress inducing.
2. Have the abyss add layers instead rotating every 2 weeks or have it rotate once a patch. By the time normal people clear a floor or two, the dam thing has reset already.

I really don't understand when everybody says they play for only 30 minutes every day. Genshin has released SO MUCH CONTENT for the past couple years that I can hardly keep up playing 2+ hours per day, with all the exploration, dailies, new world quests, main quests and character chapter quests...

Personally, I think it's just part of hoyo strategy.
Instead of correcting the missing point in their games, they create another type of game with the corrections we asked in the previous game, but with other problems than the previous one, in order to make money.
Cause the don't want to create the perfect game. They just want money

There are so many quality of life changes alone that could make this game so much better, i.e.

- Creating a system with which players who missed events could obtain event exclusive weapons, especially ones that are best-in-slot 4-stars for certain characters;

- Maybe even create a system where players who missed certain story-based events would be prompted, upon reaching the point in the story with which such a thing wouldve occured in the timeline, with a choice to download that event's story/quests so it could still be experienced, and then just deleted afterward so it doesnt hog too much more storage than necessary. This could also impliment the limited 4-star weapon system mentioned above where they obtain said weapon by completing the event attached to it. This would create a system where the limited events themselves would still have limited-time rewards to incentivize players to do them while they're live, but also allow major story/lore points, character reveals, and character interactions to be experienced by all players if they so wish to do so (i really went in on this one because this is one of my biggest pet peeves with this game);

- Rotate the artifacts in the domains based on day, as explained by Vars

- Make weekly bosses resin-free (because the amount of rewards you can get from them is already limited to a week to week amount, and the amount of resin that we have has become grossly disproportionate to the amount of weeklies we have [8 bosses, 3 = 30 resin; 5 = 60 resin; = 390 resin total per week, just on these bosses, of which is over 2 full days worth of resin].)

- etc. (There are probably more but i cant think them up off the top of my head and ive made my point in this department)

All of these changes are based purely on things that are already in game or have already been created and would just require them to take time to impliment them properly. Hearing Vars go into all of the changes that could be made to make this game so much better is disappointing all over again, and im reminded of how much misused potentional this game has and will likely continue to have. Even for things like the abyss, whilst developing a randomized endless mode would be difficult, the foundation of the abyss already gives them a bit a jumping pad for creating this extented gamemode. Its weird to say that im a "casual genshin player" because it doesnt feel like a choice ive made, it feels like a choice the game has made for me

I think some more hangout with the characters would be nice, like having them in the overworld and being able to spend time with them, when I started playing and kaeya's birthday came up, I was so excited to spend time with him, but nothing. At least being able to say happy birthday and give them something for maybe friendhip increase would be nice. I know serenitea pot kinda does that, but just a bit more for their birthday would be nice

The issue I have is genshin has trained me to play for 15 to 20 minutes a day, and then I will randomly run into a character quest, or a story quest, and I’m locked into a 20 minute cut scene. I typically annoyed because I had not planned for playing more than 15 to 20 minutes as trained.

Here's an idea for endless content, COMMUNITY BUILT DUNGEONS. Kinda like serenitea-pot but for combat. People can build their dungeons, spawn monsters they want, choose the level they want, can add puzzles, terrain they want and share it across the community.

And if Mihoyo is feeling a bit more generous they can even allow loot table of overworld monsters in these dungeons, that means killing a bunch of elite monsters in there nets you mora, xp, and also trash artifacts.

Each dungeons have a unique code so people can search popular ones any time and use popular dungeons as benchmarks for metas, they could add bookmarks for your favorite dungeons too.

I take a lot of issue with the moving characters to the standard banner thing. Moving characters to the standard banner is one of the worst things you can do to someone who wants a character, since there is absolutely no guarantee you will ever get that character.

Let's imagine your a newer player that doesn't have many 5 stars, and you've decided you want Childe, let's say. So, naturally, you start saving for Childe's next rerun. Suddenly, a few patches later, Childe is suddenly moved to standard. Suddenly, all your hopes become dashed as it could now potentially take YEARS to obtain even 1 Childe, even if you're constantly pulling.

Inb diablo 3, there are endgame rifts that are randomly generated with buffs and debufs on enemies. As you complete a greater rift, you unlock higher gr ranks to compete on a leader board and to farm gear. something like this would be awesome for genshin.

I'm totally agree.

And here are my complaints.

1. Map:
At a certain point, we get a compass to find chests and oculi, and we just use an interactive map to locate the exact locations. That's frustrating.
When we want to find flowers, bugs, or other items, the interactive map is our go-to solution. It's a shame that the in-game map isn't as useful in these cases.
Considering the number of quests we have, it would be helpful to see at least the nearest ones marked on the map. Often, I prioritize nearby quests or areas with multiple quests. Wouldn't it be nice to pick up a random quest on the way to daily commissions?
Some locations have multiple layers, but having just the top layer available on the map feels limiting.

2. Gadgets:
I just need passive gadgets. What's the problem? The portable food gadget not only replaces your regular companion but also replace your foods gadget, what you will forget until middle of a fight. It can be frustrating to have to access the inventory for something like seeds when you see a flower and etc.

3. Character quests:
When a character with an active quest is occupied, it can be time-consuming to find that quest in a list. It would be helpful to have links to the quest associated with the character.

4. Expeditions:
How often do I make changes? Once every few months. It would be convenient to have a button to repeat previous expeditions without having to make manual adjustments.

5. Test runs:
Test runs are not representative enough. It would be beneficial to have more variety in the enemies faced, the ability to customize the team and weapons, and the option to use the character even after the test run has ended.

6. Reasons to play on a daily basis:
There aren't many reasons to play daily. The fights are not particularly challenging, and the grind for character materials becomes monotonous after a few weeks. It's understandable to only return for story quests after updates, but Genshin Impact is a vast game. As a result, I've uninstalled it multiple times and forgotten about it for months.

7. Events:
If you miss an event, you miss out on it completely, which is unfortunate. Instead of removing them entirely, the game could keep a past events and suggest them to players after the current events have been done. There have been many enjoyable mini-games during events that I would like to revisit or experience for the first time, but I am unable to do so.

Yeah… while I don’t agree with everything here’s a few things I think could be kinda cool to implement after this time.

- no need to necessarily change the rng. Give us reroll devices! They could be given through weekly bosses, events, teapot etc. and reroll substats. If you forge 3 substat ones you get one that rerolls the mainstat (drops too but more rarely) this way they wouldn’t have to go back and change the droprates and stuff. Also supporting the weekday artifact idea.

- Implement 5 star weapon shards (standard weapons) into weekly bosses and make them cost no resin, time gated anyway.

- option to pick one 5 star character after 300 pulls on standard banner

- some elysian realm/simulated universe type domain that resets weekly, could give primos and above mentioned reroll devices/weapon shards as rewards, along with maybe fragile resin and artifact exp potions. Could play like the 2.2 main event for everyone remembering it

I really don’t know how to solve the „old characters need a banner“ issue though… just implementing them to standard would be the most comfy option, but we know why that doesn’t work, that topic‘s been milked

totally forgot update stardust/-glitter shop! Add 4 star characters a patch after release and maybe add a few more beneficial items!

Ok hear me out, the thing that sets genshin apart is it’s open world aspect right? That permanent content challenges you want I think should play to that aspect. Some kind of challenge that is not tedious but has us use the world. Not a domain. Kinda like the lay lines but… fun.
